The founding dean of the faculty of law at the University of Cape-Coast, Professor Philip Ebow Bondzi-Simpson is scheduled to open this year\u2019 inaugural Dwen Hwe Kan lectures under the theme: \u201cDWEN HWE KAN, Mfantsipim Creed for Leadership in Africa.\u201d<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”BhjwHLfusm5tGHIhrmTb5ErkQYetFQ37″]The lecture will take place at Mfantsipim School\u2019s quadrangle on 24th<\/sup> April on the topic \u201cNation-Building and National Interest: The Values Factor.\u201d<\/p>\n The Annual DWEN HWE KAN Lectures has been instituted by the school to provide a platform for renowned Old Boys of the School to discuss national and global issues which will focus on leadership, patriotism, governance, development, volunteerism and nationalism, within the context of Mfantsipim values, creed and philosophy as defined by the founding fathers.<\/p>\n The first part of this year\u2019s maiden lectures will take place at the Mfantsipim School Quadrangle, Cape Coast on Friday, 24th<\/sup> April, 2015, on the topic \u201cNation-Building and National Interest: The Values Factor\u201d.<\/p>\n Mr J.K.A Simspon in a press release stated that the annual lectures was an integral part of the Mfantsipim Flag Month celebrations which this year will start from Wednesday, 22nd<\/sup> April 2015 to Monday, 1st<\/sup> June, 2015, during which all current students and Old Boys of the School are expected to fly the flag, which embodies the School\u2019s virtues, heritage, traditions and values to serve as a constant reminder for themselves, the nation and humanity.<\/p>\n
