\"CPP<\/a>The Convention People\u2019s Party (CPP) is set to conduct a biometric registration of its members across the country.<\/p>\n

The move is to scrap what it says is the outmoded form of collecting data on party members.<\/p>\n

The is part of deliberations planned for the CPP\u2019s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting slated for Saturday in the Northern Regional capital, Tamale.<\/p>\n

Party General Secretary, Ivor Greenstreet in an interview with Citi New<\/strong>s stated that the biometric registration will enable the CPP issue new digital party membership cards to its members.<\/p>\n

The new cards \u201cwill be used to deduct dues of our members nationwide and it will be used to facilitate their continuous membership or otherwise of the various organs and committees of the party,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

The NEC meeting according to Mr. Greenstreet will discuss the state of affairs in Ghana including \u201cthe cost of living crisis with increases all over and our currency depreciating\u201d and so the NEC will discuss and propose alternative solutions to the nation\u2019s problems.<\/p>\n
