The Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) has said it will pull a surprise in the 2016 general elections,\u00a0as they were vigorously working to attract more votes.<\/p>\n
The leader of the party, Dr Henry Hebert Lartey, said unlike the two main political parties in Ghana, the GCPP will not make noise on its plans and strategies,\u00a0but\u00a0rather, it will focus on strengthening its structures to build a formidable force to garner more votes in the next general elections.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”Dgi9HLnxc8klCUK81d81XDU1LNPcAUtL”]Dr Lartey made these remarks\u00a0in Koforidua during the party’s Regional Delegates Conference to elect executives to steer the affairs of the party in the Eastern Region.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will start talking when all is set and done; at the moment we are travelling across every corner of Ghana, listening to the stories and the experiences of the people, talking to them about their hopes, dreams and expectations for the future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to Dr Lartey, Ghanaians are gradually appreciating the domestication philosophy which they believe will help in improving their living standards.<\/p>\n
Therefore, with he was optimistic that the door-to-door sensitization the GCPP will become more attractive and eventually record increased votes.<\/p>\n
At the end of the regional election supervised by officials of the Eastern Regional Electoral Commission, Joseph Atteh, a 43-year-old building contractor, was elected Chairman.<\/p>\n
Isaac Nyarko was elected Vice Chairman, Emmanuel Kudaya,\u00a0Regional Secretary; Ebenezer Anokye grasped the Treasurer’s position,\u00a0while Godwin Atta Asare was voted for as\u00a0the officer in-charge of Education.<\/p>\n
The rest were Mrs Vida Ofori, Women Organizer, Emmanuel Akonnor,\u00a0Regional Organizer and Stephen Arthur,\u00a0Youth Organizer.<\/p>\n
Dr Lartey congratulated the elected officers,\u00a0and urged them to immediately get to work by going down to the grassroots to intensify education on the domestication philosophy.<\/p>\n
