{"id":108422,"date":"2015-04-14T18:20:11","date_gmt":"2015-04-14T18:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=108422"},"modified":"2015-04-14T18:20:11","modified_gmt":"2015-04-14T18:20:11","slug":"airtel-money-hits-over-1-million-transactions-in-a-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/04\/airtel-money-hits-over-1-million-transactions-in-a-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Airtel Money hits over 1 million transactions in a month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Airtel Ghana, multiple award winning company has attained another great milestone with its Convenient, Secure and Instant mobile money service.<\/p>\n<p>Less than a week after announcing that Airtel Money had crossed 1.5 million registered customers, the telecom company has announced that there has been a significant increase over the average monthly transactions of 500,000 in 2014 to over 1 million transactions in March 2015 alone.<\/p>\n<p>Key drivers were in the areas of Money Transfer Transactions (P2P), Airtime Transaction Count and other Merchant Transactions.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first in Airtel Money\u2019s history where a month\u2019s transaction has exceeded the one million mark. It is also a great achievement for a Telco operating in a country that is warmly embracing the next generation payment technology at a rapid pace.<\/p>\n<p>Manu Rajan, Marketing Director of Airtel Ghana explained that, \u201cAttaining over a million transactions in a month significantly indicates that Airtel Money has been accepted as a reliable means of transacting business and shows our customers\u2019 growing confidence in our ability to meet their needs in a secured manner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that, \u201cOur successes so far are positioning us as a leading force on the mobile money landscape.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Airtel Ghana has, since the introduction of Airtel Money, been successful in making the service more attractive and acceptable to all.<\/p>\n<p>The service has been instrumental in changing the way people transact business because of its convenience, secure features and instantaneous delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Airtel Ghana is progressively achieving its target of helping to propel Ghana towards a cashless society through its mobile money service.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: Airtel Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Airtel Ghana, multiple award winning company has attained another great milestone with its Convenient, Secure and Instant mobile money service.
