{"id":10267,"date":"2014-04-01T14:50:39","date_gmt":"2014-04-01T14:50:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=10267"},"modified":"2014-04-01T15:04:39","modified_gmt":"2014-04-01T15:04:39","slug":"waec-revises-examination-rules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/04\/waec-revises-examination-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"WAEC revises examination rules"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/WAEC-Logo-n-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10268\" alt=\"WAEC Logo n (1)\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/WAEC-Logo-n-1.jpg\" width=\"471\" height=\"359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/WAEC-Logo-n-1.jpg 471w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/WAEC-Logo-n-1-300x228.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 471px) 100vw, 471px\" \/><\/a>The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) says it has revised some of its rules governing the conduct of the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE).<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the Public Relations Officer of WAEC, Agnes Teye Cudjoe revealed that the revision of the rules among others prohibits students from bringing their mobile phones into the examination hall.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This year we have revised the rules for bringing mobile phones into the halls because we realized that students bring in their mobile phones into the exam hall to cheat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She therefore stated that candidates who bring their mobile phones into the examination hall this year will have their entire results cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, candidates of WASSCE have successfully completed their first practical paper, Oral English. <b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s May\/June WASSCE began on Monday with over two hundred thousand students from various senior high schools across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <b>Citi News<\/b> a student stated that \u201cthe paper was ok although we could not hear some of the words. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another also said we were able to do what was expected of us based on our efforts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) says it has revised some of its rules governing the conduct of the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
