{"id":10198,"date":"2014-04-01T10:22:07","date_gmt":"2014-04-01T10:22:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=10198"},"modified":"2014-04-01T10:22:26","modified_gmt":"2014-04-01T10:22:26","slug":"ecobank-women-donate-to-st-elizabeth-catholic-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/04\/ecobank-women-donate-to-st-elizabeth-catholic-hospital\/","title":{"rendered":"Ecobank women donate to St Elizabeth Catholic hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/ecobmk.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10203\" alt=\"ecobmk\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/ecobmk.jpg\" width=\"341\" height=\"148\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/ecobmk.jpg 341w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/ecobmk-300x130.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 341px) 100vw, 341px\" \/><\/a>Women of Ecobank Ghana on Friday 28<sup>th<\/sup> March, 2014 donated medical equipment to the St Elizabeth Catholic Hospital at Hwidiem a suburb of Kenyasi in the Brong Ahafo Region.<\/p>\n<p>The donation was made from personal contributions by the women to mark this year\u2019s International women\u2019s day which fell on 8<sup>th<\/sup> March 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Items donated include; delivery bed, examination couches, gloves, standing sphygnometer, oxygen machines, assorted BP apparatus etc. valued at about GHC 20,000.<\/p>\n<p>The Hospital consults with patients from over 10 other towns including Kenyase No1, Kenyase No 2, Ntoroso, Wamahinso, Gyedu, Acherensua, Nkaseim, Atronie etc.<\/p>\n<p>In an address on behalf of the Ecobank women, Mr. Winston Wobil, the branch Manager for the Kenyase branch of Ecobank, stated that, the bank choose St Elizabeth\u2019s Hospital Hwidiem du to the good work being done by the hospital in attending to most of the neighboring towns with its limited resources.<\/p>\n<p>The Acting administrator of the hospital, Dr. Kwesi Tutu Ali, who received the items on behalf of the hospital, stated that the hospital currently caters for patients from 5 districts and handles close to over 3100 deliveries every year.<\/p>\n<p>He said it was worrying to have women deliver their babies on the ground, or lose mothers due to the lack of oxygen.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kwesi Tutu Ali also said that the items would not only benefit the patients but also help health personnel work under safer conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Ag Head of Communications and PR of Ecobank Ghana, Abigail Aye- Addo said \u201cWe acknowledge the communities that have contributed to our success as a bank.
