Nigeria’s election which was scheduled for February 14th was postponed to March 28th due to the security reasons.

The Nigerian Electoral Commission, said the postponement will give a newly-formed multinational force, the opportunity to reclaim areas controlled by Boko Haram.

However speaking on the postponement, Mahama expressed the hope that there “will be no post election violence and all the parties involved in this election will accept the results in good faith when INEC announces them.”
