A two-day congress of National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) to elect their national executives came to an abrupt halt as delegates were chased out of the congress grounds for failing to accept the favorite candidates of the National Service Scheme Management.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”ioswUs5F7DW88H5Y5CN9dUDGD5otgEXZ”]The disgruntled national service personnel accused management of the service and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) for eliminating competent candidates and imposing on them candidates to serve their parochial interest.<\/p>\n
They said although the sidelined candidates had met all the criteria outlined by in their constitution, some strong forces working behind the scenes to push their favorites through.<\/p>\n
The action according to the National President of NASPA, Ekow Vincent, is an affront to the democracy.<\/p>\n
