The arrest of a 40-year-old Headteacher in Garu in the Upper East Region by the police for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old class five pupil, saved him from being lynched by the youth of the town.<\/p>\n
The suspect, who is also the Headteacher at the Kugrago Primary School, Solomon Serweh, 40 is accused of defiling the victim twice this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe girl came to the police station to complain that the headmaster defiled her two times, first on the 23rd<\/sup> February and the second occurred on the 6th<\/sup> March. We are not yet done with investigations,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n However speaking to Citi News the District Director of Education at Garu, Severio Dery, disclosed that his office has began investigations into the matter and added that \u201cwe have also taken the matter at our level\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cIt came to light that he had an affair with the girl at the school. And we had to come in quickly to calm tempers. Indeed the youth of the town were not happy about the situation.
