{"id":100277,"date":"2015-03-18T06:00:24","date_gmt":"2015-03-18T06:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=100277"},"modified":"2015-03-18T06:00:24","modified_gmt":"2015-03-18T06:00:24","slug":"students-boycott-meals-over-poor-quality-of-food","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/03\/students-boycott-meals-over-poor-quality-of-food\/","title":{"rendered":"Students boycott meals over poor quality of food"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The poor\u00a0quality and quantity of food served at the Gbewa College of Education in Pusiga in the Upper East Region has triggered a students&#8217; boycott.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;mVeg5AtuKg1MfMpK19iA6ioLVcZvMYph&#8221;]On Monday, the over 800 students were demanding an increase in the quantity and quality of food from the management of their school.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The students temporarily suspended their action after the intervention\u00a0 of the District Chief Executive of Pusiga.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The DCE for Pusiga, Alhassan Abugbila told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> that the students had implored management of the school to increase the quantity and quality of their food.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThere was misunderstanding between students and management over the food that was served. According to the students when they got to the dining hall, the number of students exceeded\u00a0the quantity of food that was served.
