{"id":100072,"date":"2015-03-17T08:58:40","date_gmt":"2015-03-17T08:58:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=100072"},"modified":"2015-03-17T08:58:40","modified_gmt":"2015-03-17T08:58:40","slug":"we-are-ready-to-face-star-communications-govt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/03\/we-are-ready-to-face-star-communications-govt\/","title":{"rendered":"We are ready to face star communications- Govt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Communications has called the bluff of Chinese firm Star Communication Network Technology Company Limited over its intention to sue Ghana at the international arbitration court for the termination of its contract to implement Ghana\u2019s Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) Migration Project.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;gKmDZd9C9BemtkbKfg4wAAMJe0FR8J9V&#8221;]The Chinese firm announced moves to hit the international arbitration court after a commercial court in Ghana recently threw out their case seeking to place an injunction on the implementation of the digital migration program in Ghana following the abrogation of their contract by the Communications ministry.<\/p>\n<p>But speaking to Citi Business News Deputy Minister of communications Ato Sarpong said government was ready to face the Chinese firm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have not received anything yet but we are aware of their intent of going for international arbitration so we are just waiting for them, where ever they want to take us to resolve this matter we will meet them.
