Exhausted with the dating scene and wanna take a time out? Perhaps you’re not so sure you should, just in case you end up on the shelf and everyone gets taken in the meantime. If you’re in two minds, join Beauty and Tips as we take a look at 10 good reasons to take a break from dating.

Dating can be hard – but fun

However, it’s only fun when you go on one or two great dates before meeting someone cool who you enter into a relationship with. When you become a serial dater who’s venturing out on at least one disastrous date per month, on the other hand, dating is no longer fun. It’s exhausting, tedious and kinda weird. It gets worse when you’re the one who’s rejected, too. The emotional roller coaster of the whole thing should be enough to put us off dating for life, but the question we always return to is this: If we quit dating, wouldn’t we be single forever? You don’t have to quit dating forever. But if you’re tired of futile dates in the freezing cold, encounters with crazy guys and having to change your number because some creeps won’t get the picture that you don’t like them, you can always just take a break. Why should you? Here are 10 good reasons to take a break from dating.

Rediscover who you are

Dating can drawn you in to a sort-of parallel universe where you’re you – but also someone else. You’re meeting up with all different kinds of guys from different walks of life, and a lot of the time you have to adjust your own personality a little. You know how it is: You’re on a date with a cute guy who happens to be obsessed with Star Trek. You’ve never seen it, but to impress you tell him you love it, too. And when he asks for your favourite episode, you tell him you can’t choose just one. You love them all! When you free yourself from the dating scene, you also free yourself from discussing who other people are. You get a chance to rediscover your own passions and hobbies. You’ve got more time to dedicate yourself to do doing what you really love to do.

Because being single is fun

Hey, you’re single and guess what – lots of people are secretly jealous! Being single is better than dating losers. You get to do whatever you want, whenever you want. Have a blast!

You stop looking

They say that love comes when we’re not even looking for it. A lot of people will surely agree with this. If you’ve been spending the best part of the last year trying to force love out of a bunch of strangers online, it might be a good idea to take yourself out of the firing line and let nature and destiny take over. Give yourself up to the gods. You might experience a lovely surprise when you least expect it.

You can focus on making friends instead

Tired of meeting people for love and it all going wrong? Why not ease the pressure and widen your social circle instead? Meeting new people for friendship is a lot easier than the pressure cooker environment of the dating scene. You get to relax a bit more, take it easy, and don’t have to worry about why he isn’t texting back. It’s so much more fun! Join an app like Bumble and find new friends to hang out with.

You reaffirm your self image

It’s 1am. You went to bed an hour ago. You can’t sleep. You keep thinking about him and why he hasn’t texted since 8pm. You deliberately left your phone in another room so you wouldn’t check your phone in bed. After all, you need sleep. Screw that! You leap out of bed into the freezing cold, stub your toe on something and check your phone. He hasn’t texted and now you feel silly, cold and your toe is throbbing. Worse still, you ask yourself “what have I become?!” When we’re dating too much, we can lose sight of our self image. We check our phone every five minutes and literally can’t cope if our date hasn’t replied. It’s not cool, we hate ourselves for doing it, and it’s not how we normally behave. Take a break from dating and reaffirm your self image. You don’t need to be the one who is still awake at 1am waiting for a text. You’re better than that and deserve better than that.

You’re not ready to date

If you need a break from dating, it might mean that you’ve not been ready for a relationship this whole time. Take a breather and only return to the dating scene when you’re truly ready to meet a new man.

Use the time to analyse past mistakes

One of the reasons you’ve been bouncing from bad date to bad date could be that you haven’t given yourself enough time between each guy to reflect on what went wrong. It’s important that you analyse past relationships so that you can learn from mistakes, ensuring they don’t happen again. Take a look at your past and see if there are things you can improve on.

A break will save you some time

Dating can take a lot of your time, but when you are single you can use all this time for spending quality moments withy your family and friends, or on self development or taking a new and fun hobby, it is an excellent reason to take a break from dating, at least for some time.

You can reevaluate what you want from a guy

We can spend so much time shopping around online for dates that we forget what we even want in a guy. Taking some time out from the dating scene gives you an excellent opportunity to reevaluate what it is you want from a guy. Spend some time writing down qualities you want in a man so that when he does eventually come along, you know he’s the one for you.

Learn a new skill

As you know, dating can take up a lot of time. If you aren’t on dates, you’re texting new guys. If you aren’t texting them, you’re calling them. If you aren’t doing that, you’re browsing lots of profiles. Dating takes up so much time that we never have the time to do anything else. Take a break from dating and focus on learning a new skill. It’s so much more productive.

Managers of Ghana’s educational system have been admonished to consider the needs of girls when planning educational activities.

According to a Senior Research Scientist at the Ghana Space Science Technology Institute of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Nana Ama Brown Klutse, taking cognizance of the biological makeup of women at the planning stages of educational activities will encourage more women to take up careers in science and technology.

[contextly_sidebar id=”igYo93X8CWEsZ8objSstyCoQOsiNoDvH”]Dr. Nana Ama Brown Klutse was speaking at a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics workshop for Junior High School girls in Tarkwa in the Tarkwa-Nsueam Municipality in the Western Region, organized by Turning Point Advocacy, a non-governmental organization that focuses on child literacy, STEM education for girls, and women economic empowerment.

Dr. Klutse listed a number of challenges that confronts women to take up careers in science and technology.

She said, “the problem starts from the basic level where there is stereotyping in our schools, homes, in our communities. That aside, the biological makeup of women also distracts their academic work and their careers. We have the women supposed to be home kind of mentality among us especially when they are married, and are supposed to be taking care of the children, the home, the husband and all that. Combining that with career is not easy” she said.

She continued that “we have seen examples even in politics that there are more men in there than women. It’s not easy for a woman to be moving from town to town, city to city, village to village to campaign whilst leaving the children and husband at home and all that behind, it’s not an easy thing to do”.

To address these challenges, Dr. Nana Ama believes Ghana’s educational system must be developed with the biological makeup and contributions of women in mind.

She believes “planning examinations, planning quizzes, time to go to school and all that should be tailored towards the biological makeup of women. If during just one week examination or BECE, a girl or woman is having menstrual pain, it can be so painful that the child cannot write a paper or two. That can affect her future maybe for a lifetime” she lamented.

She concluded that “moving forward our job places should allow convenient time for women to go to work. It shouldn’t be strictly 8:30am to 4:30pm because the men are going to work at this time. Women should be given flexible time to work. It can still be the 8 hours but probably I can only go at 10:00am and close at 5:00pm or something”.

Inequality between men and women across the world has worsened over the past year, a report suggests.

It is the first time that data from the World Economic Forum (WEF) has shown a year-on-year worsening of the gender gap since it began charting it in 2006.

The report ranks 144 countries to compare women’s economic opportunities, education, political participation and health with men.

Women are measured as having 68% of the chances and outcomes that men have.

This is slightly down from the 68.3% measured last year.

But the group says the overall gender gap in all of the areas of equality it monitors would take 100 years to close at the current rate.

That is well up from the 83 years predicted in 2016.

Graphic on gender gap

Gender parity is closest in areas of health and education, it says, but significant gaps in economic participation and political empowerment continue to endure across the world.

Women will have to wait 217 years before they earn as much as men and are equally represented in the workplace, the figures suggest.

income gender gap graphic

Nordic countries remain among some of the world’s best for overall equality. Iceland tops the list with a 12% gender gap across all the WEF’s measures. Norway, Finland ands Sweden are all in the top five.

Rwanda came fourth in the list for overall gender equality with a gap of 18%. The country has the highest share of women in parliament in the world – they occupy three in every five seats.

Nicaragua, Slovenia, Ireland, New Zealand and the Philippines also made the top 10 on the Global Gender Gap rankings.

Graphic of top and bottom 10 countries on gender equality ranking

Women in the Middle East and North Africa fared the worst, with war-torn Yemen coming last on the list with a gender equality score of just 52%.

The report shows women in the world earn less not just because of gendered salary differences, but because women are more likely to do unpaid or part-time work than men.

Women also generally tend to work in lower-paid professions and are less likely to be in highly-paid senior roles in companies.

Slovenia has the smallest gap in gender earnings – with women there on average earning 80.5% of the male national average.

The report says that if the economic gender gap was totally closed:

  • China could add $2.5tn to its GDP
  • The United States could add $1.75bn
  • France and Germany could add more than $300bn each
  • The UK could add $250bn

New world leaders’ impact

Both Canada and France saw improvements to their political empowerment measures after Justin Trudeau and Emmanuel Macron added more women in ministerial positions within their governments.

The US saw a marked drop in this area, with female political empowerment at its lowest rate in 10 years. It came 96th in this area.

The report blames a significant decrease in female ministerial positions for the fall – a Freedom of Information request in March revealed that only 27% of all jobs within the Trump administration were taken by women.

  • Meet Trump’s cabinet: The people around the president
  • All-male White House picture sparks anger

Overall the US fell four places to take 49th position.

The UK climbed five places, taking 15th spot this year. Its rank is largely due to high levels of female education, and Prime Minister Theresa May’s government has helped the UK to improve its political score. A record number of female MPs were elected to the country’s parliament in June.

But it continues to lag behind in economic participation and opportunities for women in particular. The UK ranks 95th in the world for income equality, with women in the UK earning on average 45% less per year than men.

Other countries that improved overall included Bangladesh, which now ranks 47th in the world and the highest in South Asia after increasing female employment in professions.

Sub-Saharan African countries made marked improvements in women’s health. Nine countries from the region are in the world’s top 20 for high female labour force participation.

Adam Blampied, a prominent YouTube video blogger, has issued an apology for “manipulating” women into sending him images on social media.

“To everyone I’ve hurt… I’m so sorry,” said the former What Culture employee in a statement on Wednesday.
He apologised to those women he repeatedly messaged and encouraged to “send me images of themselves”.

Eleven minutes after the statement was released, an individual alleged Blampied asked her to “send him nudes”.

Blampied presented videos for What Culture on YouTube until September 2017, when he parted company with the organisation. His new employers, Cultaholic, told the BBC he is unable to be reached for comment.

Peter Willis, Director of What Culture Limited, told the BBC Blampied’s departure “was not linked to the series of Twitter messages that were published [on Wednesday], nor were we aware of any of the events within those tweets until reading Adam’s own statement.

“What Culture categorically condemns all sexual harassment, predatory behaviour and abuses of position and power.”

‘In the end, I relented’
Shortly after Blampied’s statement, an individual – @SRbackwards – alleged on Twitter the YouTuber asked her for nude images, calling him “a manipulative sexual predator”.

“Knowing that I was 19, drunk, sexually inexperienced and had moral objections to sending him nudes, he continued to try to persuade me,” they posted.
“In the end, I relented.

“He was charming, he was the face of a YouTube channel and I’d been a fan of him for a while.”

Using strong language, she added: “He made me feel so good about myself for about six hours, then he made me feel like utter shit for months.”

Blampied has since made a string of comments on Twitter, urging his followers on Thursday: “Please don’t attack the women for speaking out.

“They have been hurt, by me.
“Please don’t publicly leap to my defence on this. My behaviour doesn’t warrant it.

“The purpose of this was not to excuse myself, but because it’s what the women deserve, for the wider public to see my behaviour.
“Please be kind and understanding to the women. More than I was.”

Tunisia has overturned a law that banned women from marrying non-Muslims.

A spokeswoman for President Beji Caid Essebsi made the announcement and congratulated women on gaining “the freedom to choose one’s spouse”.

Until now, a non-Muslim man who wished to marry a Tunisian Muslim woman had to convert to Islam and submit a certificate of his conversion as proof.
Tunisia, which is 99% Muslim, is viewed as one of the most progressive Arab countries in terms of women’s rights.

The new law comes after President Essebsi pushed for the lifting of the marriage restriction law that was put in place in 1973.

He said in a speech last month, during celebrations of the National Women’s day, that the marriage law was “an obstacle to the freedom of choice of spouse”.

The restriction was also seen as violating Tunisia’s constitution which was adopted in 2014 in the wake of the Arab Spring revolution.

Human rights groups in Tunisia had also campaigned for the law’s abolition.

The order comes into force immediately, and couples are free to register their marriages at government offices.

The BBC’s Rana Jawad in Tunis says that many Tunisians see the removal of the marriage restriction as another landmark in guaranteeing women’s freedom in the country.

In July, the Tunisian parliament also introduced a new law that abolished a clause that allowed rapists to escape any punishment if they married their victims.

The country banned polygamy as far back as 1956, setting it part from other Muslim-majority nations.

However, women in Tunisia still face discrimination, particularly in matters of inheritance which still prioritises sons over daughters.

The Tunisian Association of Democratic Women estimates that nearly 70% of Tunisian women are victims of abuse.

Amnesty International reported last year that there were few signs to show that things had improved for women since the Arab Spring revolution in 2010.

As the years tick by, more and more we find ourselves wishing we had our own personal time machine to wind back the years and the effects of them on our appearance. There’s a lot to be said about growing old gracefully, (after all, our lines and wrinkles are testament to the fun, chaotic, beautiful lives we’ve had), but knocking a few years off our assumed age can be a great confidence booster. What’s better than a stranger guessing your age and having you down as ten less than you really are?! At Beauty and Tips, we’re all for cheating time a little bit, and we’re here to share our best kept secrets with you. Read on for our 8 top tips that teach you how to look younger than your age, minimal effort required.

Take care of your skin

Whether you were a party girl in a past life, or still love to have a little bit too much fun, your skin is the first thing that will give you away. Lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet and loss of elasticity are inevitable effects of growing older, and they can begin to show at any age. The best way to fight further ageing in your skin is to apply sun screen on the daily and keep it moisturised. Using a sun screen will protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays, which cause dryness, age spots, loss of elasticity as well as a whole host of more serious health problems. Start lathering on the sun block as early as you can, and make sure that your skin is well moisturised by using a serum AND a moisturiser every single day.  Love the skin you’re in! This is probably one of the most important tips on how to look younger than your age.

Bags are for shopping, not eyes

A rough’s night sleep, stress and rubbing the delicate eye area all contributes to the appearance of dark under-eye circles, which can make you look a lot older than you really are. The best way to combat these shopping bags under your eyes is of course to make sure you’re grabbing 8 hours sleep a night, but when work piles up or the club calls, you need a quick fix. So our tip on how to look younger than your age is simple: next time you wake up with dark rings, run two teaspoons under icy water until cold, and hold on the eye area for two minutes. The coolness helps blood vessels to constrict, lessening the purple/red colour, and feels very refreshing on the skin. You’ll be looking bright eyed and bushy tailed in no time!

Choose the right concealer

When you feel like your complexion looks a bit tired, your first instinct may be to reach for the heavy-duty concealer. In reality, using heavy products only really works if your overall make-up is dramatic and heavy too. For any other occasion, waxy concealers can be too much and actually make you look older than you are, as the product congeals and settles in fine lines and wrinkles. So a good tip on how to look younger than your age is to find a creamy concealer that doesn’t sit on top of your pores, but instead blends seamlessly, diverting attention away from problem areas.

Perk up

Our faces aren’t the only places to show our age. In fact, your derriere could be letting the game away. As we get older, our bottoms tend to lose a bit of their bounce as gravity takes its toll. To put the perk back into your bottom, choose jeans with no more than 98% cotton in them, and allow the other 2% for a stretchy fabric like Lycra. Trousers with less than 2% stretch are more likely to wear out and go saggy after just a few wears, so always check the label!

Oil up

Dry and frazzled hair adds years to your look, and in a cruel twist of fate, dyeing hair relentlessly to cover greys can leave it looking particularly lacklustre. So a good tip on how to look younger than your age it to cheat your way to a youthful, seemingly untouched head of hair, for this it’s best to introduce a hair oil to your after-shower routine. Adding an oil like Argan or Moroccan oil to the ends of hair when wet protects it from heat damage and repairs the proteins that make your hair look strong and healthy. Just pour a couple of drops into your palm, rub your hands together and lightly stroke onto towel-dried hair. You’ll notice the difference instantly, as your hair will look noticeably glossier and healthier.

Get an eye-lift with eyeshadow

Correcting drooping or hooded eyelids may sound like a painful, expensive trip to the surgeon’s office is in store, but it’s actually quite easy to mimic the effects of an eye-lift yourself using eyeshadow. So one of great makeup tips on how to look younger than your age is to apply a creamy, light colour to the part of your eyelid closest to the upper lash line, and a darker colour to contour the crease above where the lid is dropping. The lighter colour will make the bottom part of the lid more visible, and the darker shade will make the drooping part of the eye recede. The result? A wide-eyed look that hides your age.

Thicken your brows

As we get older, our eyebrows get more and more sparse. It doesn’t help that most of us spent our teenage years mercilessly over-plucking, either. So a good tip on how to look younger than your age is to fake thick, luscious brows, and for this grab an angled eyeliner brush and a taupe eyeshadow that matches the colour of your natural brow. Brush on feathery, upward strokes of colour in patchy areas, mimicking the look of natural eyebrow hair. Finish off your masterpiece with a pigmented eyebrow gel, which will lock in the eyeshadow and add tiny fibres to the brows, making them look even thicker.

Luminize your look

The most youthful of faces are those which radiate luminosity. If you weren’t blessed with dewy, glowing skin, cheat your way there with a luminizing serum. So a great tip on  how to look younger than your age is to choose a serum with an AHA and/or hyaluronic acid in the ingredients list, and this should be top of your priority list if you want to show off bright, supple skin. Hyaluronic acid draws water to the skin and locks in moisture, so any moisturiser you apply over the top gets a massive boost. Using a product containing an AHA regularly will leave your skin looking peachy and glowing, so what are you waiting for?

We hope you enjoyed these tips on how to look younger than your age, and if you have any of your own please share them in the comments below.

If you ever wondered what guys think when girls play hard to get, it’s a good question to consider.

The tricky part is this: Guys want a woman who it takes an effort to win over … but that’s not the same thing as being “hard to get”.

With that in mind, I want to clear up this confusion, so the guy you want can finally get you.

Here’s what guys think about playing hard to get in order to seem more attractive to men.

1. You’re not available

When you seem hard to get, it gives guys the impression that you’re just not available for a relationship.

If a guy asks you out and you’re not available for two or three weeks, it’s a red flag signal to him that being in a relationship with you will not be possible.

The most important thing a man wants to know when he first meets you is whether you’re available. If it’s hard to schedule a date with you, he will think you’re either in another relationship or you’re just not interested in him.

2. You attract the wrong guys.

Some of my clients argue with me because playing hard to get does work. They think if they’re too available a guy will lose interest.

The problem is this: It attracts the wrong guys.

Real men, the ones you can build a life with, are not going to stick around to jump through hoops, like wondering when they can see you, dealing with canceled dates, unanswered phone calls or any lapse in communication.

A lesser man never gives up no matter how bad you treat him. This can give you the illusion playing hard to get works.

However, as I said, it attracts the wrong guys — guys you don’t respect and have no chance of building a real relationship with you.

The key to meeting the right guy is to see how he courts you and by his ability to make plans and keep them. You want to find out what he has to offer.

3. You’ve got your life together

Having a successful career and friends are important parts of life. The challenge is when you consistently put your career and friends first. Men get the impression you like your life the way it is and you’re not looking for a relationship.

Men are looking to make your life better. When you’re available, it gives a man a chance to show what he can bring to your life.

Men want to win you over. The first step is giving them a chance to show what they can do.

Bottom line? Playing hard to get will attract the wrong guys.

You will get attention, but it is not from someone you can build a life with.

If being in a relationship with a man is a priority for you, make room for it in your life. When he asks you out, say yes — then sit back and let him win you over.

The right guy for you wants to win you over and make your life better, and when you’re with him, you can feel it.

The age at which a male first sees pornography is associated with certain sexist attitudes later in life, according to a team of researchers from the University of Nebraska.

Their survey revealed the younger the first viewing occurred, the more likely a male was to want power over women.

While if they were older, they were more likely to be sexually promiscuous.

Of the 330 undergraduates surveyed, with a median age of 20, the average age they first saw pornography was 13.

The youngest was only five, while the oldest was 26.

The unpublished findings were presented at a convention in Washington.

Playboy lifestyle

Lead researcher Alyssa Bischmann and her team asked the men, the vast majority of whom were heterosexual and white, when they first saw porn and whether it was intentional, accidental or forced.

They were then asked 46 questions which measured how they conformed to one of two behavioural traits – seeking power over women or sexually promiscuous behaviour and living a playboy lifestyle.

They found those who saw porn young were most likely to agree with statements that asserted male dominance, such as “things tend to be better when men are in charge”.

The researchers were surprised to find that seeing porn later in life was associated with a playboy lifestyle, such as preferring to frequently change sexual partners.

Researcher Christina Richardson said this could be because those who were exposed to porn early often did not enjoy sex in real life.

“These men often have a lot of performance anxiety with women in real life. Sexual experiences don’t go as planned or the way they do in pornography,” she said.

Alternatively “those who see porn later, enjoy sex in real life more and therefore might be more likely to live a playboy lifestyle”.

The research, which was presented at the American Psychological Association’s annual convention, did not take into account how much porn the men watched, the type of porn or other demographic factors, such as their socio-economic background.

It could also have been other personality traits that determined when the males were exposed to porn.

‘Sexually deskilled’

Peter Saddington, sex therapist at relationship support provider Relate, said: “Pornography can and does have an impact on many young men’s attitudes to sex.

“The result can be that young men develop sexist attitudes and are essentially sexually deskilled.”

Either way, Ms Richardson says porn “is not the healthiest thing for men”.

She added that young men needed “better role models to develop more healthy beliefs about masculinity”.

The single life is pretty good. You can walk around the house with no make-up, dance like no one’s watching, spend all your money on yourself, flirt with who you want, make star shapes in your bed, and pretty much go anywhere you like at any time. No one is going to tell you any differently (except maybe your mom).

It’s pure bliss!

But as sweet as the single life is, nothing beats being in love. Nothing beats waking up next to your man. Nothing beats coming home on a Friday night after work, knowing you’ll be spending the weekend with him. Nothing beats cooking together, watching movies together, laughing together, winning together.

As awesome as all this sounds, we’re not always ready to get back on the dating scene. If we start dating too soon, it isn’t love that we find – it’s frustration and misery.

If you’re not sure of what to do right now, here are the top 10 signs that you should stay single a bit longer:

You’re still finding it hard to love yourself

If you don’t love yourself, how do you expect a man to come along and love you? It’s pretty much impossible. Any time he tries to get too close, your issues will surface and you’ll raise your barriers.

Loving ourselves isn’t easy, especially if we’ve been hurt in a prior relationship. But it’s really important that you get your own house in order first before you start looking for a new man. It would be unfair on him if you started dating, despite having issues that are preventing you from actually opening your heart to love.

First, learn to love yourself. And then you can love others.

Um, Because You Can?!

So you’ve got your mom telling you that it’s time to start dating again.

You’ve got your friend who’s “looking out for you”, telling you that they don’t like seeing you single, and that they’re gonna find you a man this weekend.

But wait a minute. It’s YOUR life. You can do what the heck you want and be as single as you want!

There is no one to date!

There’s literally no one worth dating. So what do you do? Do you finally give Bob from HR a go, a guy who’s been waiting for his chance for five years? Or do you wait?

“Okay, Bob. Let’s give this a go.”

“Great! Do you mind if my mom comes along?”

“BYE BOB.”

If there is no one to date – don’t date! Just wait. Don’t tear your hair out, stressing that there will never be anyone to date ever again. Just bide your time. Be patient. Have some faith that things will actually work themselves out.

Because it’s time to have some fun

If you’ve been in a relationship pretty much all your laugh, perhaps now is the perfect time to let your hair down and have a bit of F.U.N.

Go out and party. Meet guys who just want to have a giggle. Let your hair down. Enjoy being single. Flirt.

You’ve got too much going on right now

One of the biggest mistakes we can make is to re-enter the dating scene despite clearly not having enough time on our hands.

This is totally unfair on ourselves, but it’s especially unfair on the guy.

Dating despite having no time is just a bad idea right from the start. It will stress you out when you realise you’re running out of hours in the day, and it will cause upset and friction and even more stress when you have to cancel because you have no time to make the date.

If you’re super busy at the moment, just wait until things calm down a bit until looking for love. You need to dedicate a lot of time to making a relationship work. If you can’t do that right now, it just isn’t worth it.

You don’t know what you want

The biggest reason you shouldn’t start dating again is if you don’t even know what you want from a relationship or life itself. Until you do, you should avoid getting close to someone. Why? Because it could easily end in disaster when you realise that they’re not what you wanted.

Before dating, it’s important that you make a list of what you want from a relationship and life. Do you want commitment, freedom, kids, marriage …. ?

You’re still not ready to settle down

If a part of you still wants to have fun and isn’t ready to settle down just yet, it’s a really bad idea to get into a relationship with someone.

Especially if that someone has the wrong impression and thinks you’re not only ready to settle down, but that you might also be the One.

If you still want fun, stay single. Getting into a relationship at this stage in your life will leave you feeling suffocated, could cause resentment, and can ruin what would otherwise have been a good friendship or relationship.

You might also find that you break his heart.

You’re still not over your ex

Can’t get your ex out of your head? Getting into another relationship probably isn’t going to help.

If you’re not over your ex yet, you need to get over him before even thinking about getting with someone else. If you don’t, you mind end up hurting you both.

You’re looking for a saviour

Sometimes, we’re not really looking for a man we can date. We looking for a saviour. This is never going to work out because the truth is that only YOU can save yourself.

If you’re feeling upset and need someone to come along and save you, it’s probably a good idea to stay away from the dating scene until you’ve overcome your issues.

There are still big things you want to do

Want to travel or start a business? If you’ve got something big in the pipeline, it’s probably best that you finish it first before getting into a relationship.

Stay happy!
