The suspect, Gladys Kporkporvi Tegah, was said to be home fetching water from a well, when her son [the deceased] came in with a nurse to give her mother a monthly prescribed medication.

Upon seeing Cassius Tegah with the nurse, Gladys fled into a neighbour’s room; a magistrate court registrar said.

The deceased traced his mother and made his way into the room to get her to take her medication. Unknown to Cassius, the mother was hiding a knife in her cloth which she later used to stab him in the chest.

Neighbors who chanced on the incident were compelled to retreat for their own safety, and later rushed Cassius to the hospital.

Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Eyewitnesses told Citi News that the suspect after allegedly committing the crime locked herself in the room.

The Dzodze Police were informed about the horrific incident, and they have detained the suspect for interrogations including a medical examination.

To help you accomplish the three purposes for your creation, God designed special hormones of love to be released during frequent, ecstatic lovemaking.

If you’re asking yourself, “Does God want me to have good sex?”, just refer to two Bible verses from the books of Genesis and Isaiah.

Indeed, having jubilant sex helps you serve God and accomplish the three purposes for which he created you, as stated in the Bible verses above:

2. To work and subdue the earth.
3. To glorify God.

Understanding the purpose of creation and the role of these hormones provides insights into three reasons God wants you to love and enjoy passionate sex:

1. Frequent lovemaking turns you into a better parent.

For over 3000 years in the Song of Solomon, God patiently taught us how to choose a lifelong sexual partner. In the true story, a young virgin of Israel must decide if she will marry rich, powerful King Solomon who loves only her body or the poor shepherd who cherishes and values her as a person.

The drama begins as Solomon succumbs to the heat of lust when he spies the beautiful girl working in the vineyards. He courts her over a whirlwind of three days as he repeatedly tells her how beautiful she is.

Instead of accepting his proposal, the maiden asks for time to think. She pleads with the palace virgins not to force her to marry Solomon before they learn to love each other. The story turns when the maiden experiences a wet dream that clears her mind.

She rejects Solomon in a not-so-kind or timid way and leaves to marry her shepherd. She tells her groom:

“Oh that you were like a brother to me
Who nursed at my mother’s breasts.
If I found you outdoors, I would kiss you;

In other words, the earth will resist mankind’s efforts to control and subdue it. Men and women contend with the weather, weeds, insects, and even the hostility and ignorance of other people. Lack of scientific knowledge complicates their efforts.

But God does not command you to work hard to support your family and then leave you as an unwilling victim of stress, depression, and sleepless nights. He blesses you with his design of the hormones of love to balance your labor with joy and laughter:

Ecclesiastes 9:9: “Enjoy life with the woman whom you love [sexually or otherwise — Strong] all the days of your fleeting life which He has given to you under the sun; for this is your reward in life and in your toil in which you have labored under the sun.”

These hormones reward, refresh, and renew you after working hard to survive on a hostile planet. The more you share these hormones in the arms of your mate, the more you become creative and successful in your work.

3. Ecstatic lovemaking helps you glorify God.

God openly boasts about love making being his proudest, most brilliant accomplishment in the creation:

There are three things which are too wonderful for me,
Four which I do not understand:
The way of an eagle in the sky,

And the way of a man with a maid. —  (Proverbs 30:18-19).

This is not God’s empty locker-room brag. It’s God’s genius for husbands and wives to enjoy and to help them accomplish his purposes for creating them. Proverbs says the first three things are too wonderful to understand. But four amazing things are hidden from man’s understanding.

Ancient man has always attempted to fly like the eagle. Finally, the Wright Brothers solved the puzzle. Man continues to improve on their initial discovery from airplanes, to rocket ships, to drones.

To scale a mountain, man must strap on cleats and use safety lines. Even then, he can’t go wherever he wants like the agile snake. Many men and women die while trying to imitate the serpent.

Matthew Maury said, “If God said paths are in the sea, I’m going to find them” (Psalms 8:8). He spent eighteen years charting the ocean’s currents. Today worldwide commerce and travel depend on them.

The eagle, the snake, and the paths in the sea testify to God’s superior intelligence in creating the world. And mankind seeks to replicate his divine wisdom. But the fourth is the most profound and difficult for man to figure out — the way of a man with a maid:

It’s more than a male hopping a female’s bones. Animals do that.
It’s more than a woman moaning and groaning. Prostitutes do that.
It’s more than a vibrator shaking up an orgasm. Laboratory subjects do that.

None can compare to God’s design for a man’s gentle touch to stir up a maid’s emotions and powerful sensations. Together they speak God’s beautiful language of love.

If you don’t cultivate a loving sexual relationship with your spouse, all of life becomes much harder:

1. Raising healthy, loving children.
2. Dealing with the problems of earning a living and caring for a home
3. Trying to serve and glorify God in whose mind the sexual relationship originated.

God’s love shows in his creation of the hormones of love to relieve you of the burdens of daily living. He preserved a whole book of the Bible, the Song of Solomon, to teach you the secrets for a lifetime of passionate lovemaking with your mate. He hopes you’ll choose to love and enjoy passionate sex — his proudest creation.

Eyewitnesses said, the two lovers were heard yesterday [Tuesday] engaged in one of their usual fierce fights in the room and the man was later lying in a pool of blood at their doorstep.

The deceased Francis Dzodogbe believed to be in his early 40s was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital.

The incident occurred in a house at the Mawuli Gate suburb  of Ho where they both live. It is unclear what ensued between the two but neighbours claim the suspect, Precious Doku is fond of wielding sharp devices during their fights.

She was said to have inflicted knife wounds on the deceased a month ago.

The Police who are carrying out investigations into the case said blood stains were spotted on the floor of the room together screw drivers and a knife.  There were also indications of struggle in the room.

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Ho Municipal Hospital mortuary.

The woman – Zarina – is now in a stable but traumatised condition in hospital.

“I haven’t committed any sin,” she said. “I don’t know why my husband did this to me.”

The woman’s husband is on the run in Kashinda district following the attack, police have told local media.

Zarina told Pajhwok news that the unprovoked attack took place after her husband suddenly woke her up.

She told the BBC that she got married at the age of 13 and that “relations with her husband were not good”.

In another interview with Tolo News, Zarina complained that her husband had tried to prevent her from seeing her parents. She said that she no longer wanted to remain married to him.

“He is a very suspicious man and often accused me of talking to strange men when I went to visit my parents,” she said.

She has demanded his arrest and prosecution.

Her account is the latest in a series of high-profile domestic abuse incidents and cases of violence against women in Afghanistan:

*In January 2016, a young woman, Reza Gul, had her nose cut off by her husband in the remote Ghormach district of north-western Faryab province

*In November 2015, a young woman was stoned to death in Ghor province after she was accused of adultery

*In March 2015 a young Kabul woman, Farkhunda, was beaten and burnt to death by a mob over false allegations she had burnt a Koran

*In September 2014, a man cut off part of his wife’s nose with a kitchen knife in central Daykundi Province, according to police. It is not clear whether he was ever caught
*In 2010, the case of Aisha featured on the front cover of Time magazine, after the 18-year-old was mutilated by her husband who cut off her nose and ears as punishment for running away

The Afghan government has repeatedly tried to introduce laws to protect women from domestic abuse.

But President Hamid Karzai during his time in power was unable – or unwilling – to sign off legislation even though it had been approved by both houses of parliament.
In 2014 for example he ordered changes to draft legislation that critics said would severely limit justice for victims.

Mr Karzai’s successor, Ashraf Ghani, has also not yet given his assent to legislation passed by the lower house of the Afghan parliament in November – and the upper house in December – which was drafted to protect women and children from violence and harassment.

It was a selfie she thought was worth nearly $43 million.

Katrina Bookman hit the jackpot on a slot machine in late August at Resorts World Casino in Jamaica, Queens. She even took an excited self-portrait with the machine displaying her winnings: $42,949,672. It would have been the largest slot machine jackpot in US history.

“I can’t even describe the feeling. It’s like my whole body just got numb,” Bookman told CNN affilate WABC.

But when she came back the next day to find out the exact size of her jackpot, a casino employee crushed her excitement.

“I said, ‘So what did I win? He said, ‘You didn’t win nothing,'” she told WABC.

The New York State Gaming Commission said that Bookman’s machine had malfunctioned. The machine, like all the ones in the casino, has a disclaimer stating, “Malfunctions void all pays and plays.”

Instead, the casino offered Bookman a complimentary steak dinner.

“All I could think about was my family,” Bookman told WABC, her voice breaking. She grew up in foster care and raised 4 children as a single mother.

The New York State Gaming Commission told WABC that they immediately pulled the machine from the casino floor to fix it, and it is now up and running once again. The commission said that by law they can only award Bookman her actual winnings of $2.25, printed by the machine.

“They win, and now the house doesn’t want to pay out. To me that’s unfair,” says Bookman’s attorney, Alan Ripka. He’s fighting for the casino to pay Bookman the maximum amount allowed by the Sphinx slot machine — $6,500.

“The machine takes the money when you lose. It ought to pay it when you win,” Ripka said.

Resorts World spokesman Dan Bank told CNN: “Upon being notified of the situation, casino personnel were able to determine that the figure displayed on the penny slot was the result of an obvious malfunction — a fact later confirmed by the New York State Gaming Commission.

“After explaining the circumstances to Ms. Bookman, we offered to pay her the correct amount that was shown on the printed ticket. Machine malfunctions are rare, and we would like to extend our apologies to Ms. Bookman for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

The casino couldn’t send a portion of its revenue to a New York state education fund, as mandated by law, if had to pay out massive jackpots like the one displayed on Bookman’s machine, Bank said. In five years, the casino has generated more than $1.6 billion for the fund, he said.

But Bookman remains frustrated.

“I should win the max. And I feel like I should treat him (the casino employee) to a steak dinner,” she said.

“There just aren’t any good guys out there anymore,” you lament.

Bad relationships will do this to you. After a while of dating Mr Wrong and Mr Cheater, it’s so easy to quit the dating scene for good and adopt some cats.

I know it’s hard to believe, but there are good guys out there. Lots of them, in fact. In America, there are 20,000,000 single men. Amidst all the frogs are some real princes. You just have to know where to look.

“Where?” I hear you asking.

So let’s take a look at 10 ways to find yourself a faithful guy.

Online Dating

I know, I know. You’re as sceptical as I once was about online dating. In fact, you might already have tried it, only to find that it just made you trust guys even less.

But there is no denying that for every bad online dating story is a fantastic one. More and more people are meeting their soul mate online. And if they can find the good guys, so can you.

When it comes to online dating, you have to be selective, and you have to know the red flags that should tell you whether or not a man is bad news. If you’re savvy enough, finding a faithful man online should be a cinch.

Volunteering

Do the bad guys who cheat on their partners volunteer at homeless shelters and soup kitchens? I think not!

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people – good people with big hearts who are ready to devote their time and energy to helping others.

People who volunteer tend to be open, kind, compassionate, warm, considerable, and emotionally available people who are faithful to their friends, family – and partners.

You can volunteer anywhere at any time, be it at a charity event or a homeless shelter.

Your friends

As I write this, I’m reminded of a common expression:

“Birds of a feather, flock together.”

This means that cheaters will tend to hang around with like-minded people. Likewise, folk who are faithful to their spouses will likely hang around with faithful people.

Your friends should be people that you trust. Take a look around you and ask yourself if there is someone you’ve known for a long time that would make for a great partner.

Spend some time by yourself

Spending some time by yourself might sound counter productive when it comes to meeting a man. After all, shouldn’t you be aiming to spend your time withother people? But hear me out.

Women usually go out in packs, and very rarely go out by themselves. But according to the author of The Vixen Manual, Karrine Steffans, this can actually blockade the good guys from getting to you.

“Not only can men be put off by a pack of women – or even two or three – but when they a woman who seems happy and content by herself, she’s so much more approachable and inviting.”

Go to relaxing places with warm atmospheres, such as coffee shops, country pubs or even libraries, and take a book with you. You never know what could happen.

Say yes to something different

If you’ve been going to the same places and doing the same old things for the last year or so but find that you’re not meeting faithful and desirable men, you might want to have a rethink about these places you’re visiting.

Perhaps it’s now time to try something different. Instead of heading to the pubs and clubs each weekend, consider saying Yes to that cultured friend who’s been inviting you to the galleries and museums for the last ten years. Try your hand at networking events or anywhere else where good guys tend to frequent.

You have to look in places where you would expect a faithful man to hang out.

Dig up the past

People say we should never dig up the past and instead let sleeping dogs lie. But maybe there is a man from your past who you had a crush on, and who was as faithful as they get, but he was the one who got away?

There is nothing wrong in reconnecting with someone from your past who you think might be the One. You already know lots about him, and you know he’s going to be faithful. So what’s the worse that could happen?

Go to church

Going to church is a good idea if you’re trying to find a faithful man. Men who go to church are naturally moral and ethical, as well as kind, compassionate and considerate.

Churches often have lots of social events that you can get involved in, which widens the chances of you meeting someone new.

Throw a house party 

It’s your house party and you can invite who you want. As well as inviting all your cool friends who share your values, you should also ask your friends to invite their other friends who also share your values.

Such a house party gives you a great opportunity to meet a new man who is on your level. As the host, you’ll introduce yourself to everyone who walks through your day, which means you can pick up a conversation with someone who takes your fancy later on in the night.

Go to a friend’s birthday party

Kinda similar idea to the one above here. If your friends share your values, the chances are that their friends who you haven’t yet met share them too.

So the next time you’re invited out to a friend’s birthday party – go!

Be patient 

Perhaps most importantly of all, you have to be patient. Faithful guys are out there, but there are also a lot of losers. To make sure you don’t lose any more heart, take your time and don’t rush into things. Don’t waste time dating the guys you’re not sure of but wait for the show stealer to come and sweep you off your feet.

Veronica Akua Operebea plea was not taken when she appeared before the court, presided over by Mr Isaac Addo and was remanded into police custody.

Presenting the facts of the case, Sergeant Eric Pobee said the complainant, Kasim Okai, is a driver residing at Achimota market, while Veronica is a trader and girlfriend of the deceased, Moro Okai.

The accused and the deceased lived at Taifa June/July Railway area in a wooden kiosk together with the suspect’s two children.

According to Sergeant Pobee, on September 4 2016 at about 9:00 p.m., Moro a commercial driver returned home and did not meet Veronica.

The prosecutor said Moro contacted Veronica on her mobile phone and she explained that she had been to a plot of land they owned at Amasaman.

When Veronica got home, Moro did not take her explanation kindly and picked up a quarrel with her. They engaged in a fight which resulted in Veronica sustaining a swollen eye.

According to prosecution, Moro also sustained several bite wounds.

After the fight, Veronica was said to have entered the kiosk, picked up a kitchen knife to break an iced block to massage her swollen eye when Moro pounced on her.

Sgt Poree said Veronica turned and stabbed Moro on the left thigh and he fell to the ground.

Veronica then took her two children and run away to her home town, Suhum.

After the incident, Veronica’s brother, One Patrick Opare received a phone call from a neighbour that his sister had stabbed Moro. Opare rushed to the scene and found Moro in a pool of blood.

Opare called their father at Suhum and informed him about what had happened. Their father took Veronica to the Suhum Police station where she lodged a complaint.

Veronica was arrested and was later handed over to the Achimota Mile 7 Police.
