“In the hands of a female teacher lies the core duty that heralds both a gloomy and bright dawn of the future, being the builder and moulder of a nation’s destiny either picture would eventually materialized depending on how that duty is performed.”

She noted that, good teaching transcended providing information to learners to also involve guiding pupils to appreciate the environment they live in.

“In providing quality education, we cannot be oblivious to the importance of a sound teaching and learning environment; devoid of bickering and malice. The role of a female teacher comes to play. She must be a peace broker both among her pupils and the larger community she lives and works in, where peace abounds there is unity and development is certain.”

The principal of the all-female College, Mrs. Angelina Kutin-Tandor, addressing the graduates lauded them for having accomplished a milestone.

“It is an act not only of personal commitment, but also one of pride. You all worked hard to get to this day and your work did not go to waste. A Diploma in Basic Education is one that opens many doors of opportunity for anyone who is lucky enough to have one.”
