Mr. Simons has also been able to expand into the textile and cosmetics industries in Nigeria and Ghana.

This year’s 2017 Tallberg Global Leadership Prize laureates has been slated for November 29, 2017, and will also honour three others including: Rebecca Heller, co-Founder of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), Florenzo Omenetto, Frank C. Doble, Professor of Engineering at Tufts University and Rodrigo Alfonso of Instituto Elos.

“These four amazing leaders are global in their reach, tireless in their efforts, innovative in their approaches, and operate in concert with universal values,” said Alan Stoga, the Foundation’s Chairman in a statement announcing the nominees.

“They prove that great leaders are rising to the challenges of our times.   Our goal in honoring them is not only to draw attention to their work, but also to provoke a conversation about the kinds of leaders needed today,”he added.

The 2017 Tällberg Global Leaders will participate in a public discussion at Columbia University on November 28th, as part of its Global Leaders Forum, and will be honored on November 29th at the Paley Center for Media, both in New York City.

This year’s award is being sponsored by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, one of the world’s leading philanthropic organisations founded in 1996.

MPedigree (then the mPedigree Network) was founded in 2007, and has since expanded operations to 12 countries, with offices in nine.
