Paris St-Germain moved closer to the Ligue 1 title as Dani Alves’ late winner gave them victory at Nice.

Mario Balotelli hit the post for Nice, who took a 17th-minute lead when Allan Saint-Maximin finished off after good work from Alassane Plea.

But PSG equalised four minutes later with a goal from ex-Manchester United midfielder Angel di Maria.

Balotelli hit the woodwork for a second time before Alves headed in from Adrien Rabiot’s cross to secure PSG’s victory.

PSG won the title in four successive seasons before finishing second to Monaco in 2016-17.

However, this latest success was their ninth successive Ligue 1 win and leaves them 17 points clear of Monaco, who only have eight league matches left to play this season.

Nice, who finished third last season, are now eighth in the table.

Monaco could lose ground on Ligue 1 leaders Paris St-Germain this weekend after drawing at struggling Amiens.

The Unicorns led when Serge Gakpe capped off a quick counter-attack by finishing Gael Kakuta’s excellent through ball.

But champions Monaco, four points behind leaders PSG before the game, levelled when Stevan Jovetic converted Fabinho’s pass.

PSG can go six points clear if they beat Nantes at home on Saturday (16:00 GMT).

Elsewhere, Marcelo Bielsa’s Lille beat Saint-Etienne 3-1 on Friday to move out of the relegation zone.

Nicolas Pepe headed Lille ahead, but Jonathan Bamba scored a penalty to equalise for the visitors in their first game under new boss Julien Sable.

Thiago Mendes curled them into the lead, before Roma loanee Ezequiel Ponce scored a late third.

Neymar promised to win “lots of trophies” after receiving a warm welcome as he was introduced to Paris St-Germain supporters on Saturday.

The Brazil forward, 25, joined the French club from Barcelona for a fee of 222m euros (£200m) and he will earn 45m euros (£40.7m) a year.

“I’m delighted to be here for this new challenge,” said Neymar as he appeared at the Parc des Princes.

PSG beat Amiens 2-0 in their first league match but Neymar did not play.

The world’s most expensive player watched from the stands because his international transfer certificate was not lodged in time for him to feature in the match.

Neymar added: “I want to win lots of trophies with you and I need your support to win these trophies.”

PSG, six times champions of France, were runners-up to Monaco last season but opened the scoring against Amiens through Uruguay forward Edinson Cavani.

Cavani then turned provider as he set up Javier Pastore to make it 2-0.
