The launch event came off on 26th January, 2017, with an audience of over 170 very engaged young entrepreneurs.

[contextly_sidebar id=”rrcHXVwFC5RDNIhGBh1BMXWqLG2tuYtf”]GBT is a two-year program which aims to promote entrepreneurship among young Ghanaians, offering an opportunity for these entrepreneurs to gain extensive knowledge and skills in building their business, gain access to finance and coaching from experienced Ghanaian and Dutch entrepreneurs.

The key components of the Growing Business Together initiative include a 9-month GBT Academy, the GBT Coaches Program and the GBT Startup Investment Conference.

There is a parallel project for Ghanaians in Netherlands who seek to start businesses in Ghana.

The Dutch Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Ron Strikker in his welcome address, encouraged prospective applicants to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and be passionate about their business.

He stated that, the slogan of the Netherlands Embassy in Ghana “Growing Together” is backed by the desire to help Ghanaian young entrepreneurs grow.

Sharing their experiences as entrepreneurs during the panel discussion, Fred Deegbe Jnr. and Mr. Issa Quadrego, CEOs of Heel the World and B-BOVID respectively, agreed on the need for such support platforms to help early stage entrepreneurs grow their businesses.

HIREkeke.com, a free online rental marketplace for products and services has been launched in Ghana. It’s a platform for people to post free classified ads or have access to products and services for hire, rent or lease all over Ghana.

HIREkeke.com has eight main categories with over 60 detailed subcategories.

It offers the most comprehensive and complete list of products and services by various owners all over Ghana that is not directly into buying and selling; ranging from heavy duty equipment and tools, bouncy castles, canopies, PA systems, catering and decoration, table and chairs, cars, apartments, scaffolds, laundry services, car towing services, waste management, trucks to deliver trips of sand, gravel, stones or water etc.

HIREkeke.com has all of them listed in your locality.

The name HIREkeke.com is a fusion of the English word “Hire” and the Ga word “keke”, which simply means “JUST HIRE”.

Explaining to journalists, the CEO of KimOe Technologies Limited (Owners of HIREkeke.com), Mr. Michel Abanga said ‘the rental marketplace just got a boost with the launch of HIREkeke.com.

The idea is to organize the rental marketplace in Ghana and promote the idea of renting, hiring or leasing products and also boost businesses that are in the provision of services to save money and the time used in getting them.

He further explained that, people go through a lot of stress trying to find what they want for rent, lease or hire even in this computer age where about 65.74% of mobile phone users in Ghana have access to Internet.

The platform he said is meant to solve that problem.

He said “my car once broke down on the motorway and it took me more than two hours to get help. First I called friends to see if they knew and had the contact of any towing car services after it was established by the mechanic that, my car needed to be towed to the workshop. I had to leave my car with the mechanic to the other end of the motorway just to search for a tow truck”.

With the introduction of HIREkeke.com, this would be a thing of the past as anyone in my situation can just go online and find a tow truck closest to him/her which helps save time, money as well as “check” prices of services and products in the rental marketplace through negotiations”.

Businesses or individuals in the niche market who want to post are simply required to submit a valid email address with pictures of their product or service and in three easy steps, their ad could be uploaded onto the site at no charge.

Users could just do a search for any of the available services on HIREkeke.com and find what they want in their locality and avoid the stress of paying more because of distance.

With top notch search engine optimization and search algorithm, an individual could do a Google, bing or yahoo search for a product in Ghana and HIREkeke.com will be on the first page of that search if indeed the product has been listed on the website.

The website has an easy to use and well-tailored interface which in no time will definitely revolutionize the rental market in Ghana.

KimOe Technologies Limited, the company under which HIREkeke.com is managed, is proudly Ghanaian and the first of many innovations and such platforms that directly addresses the needs of Ghanaians yet to come.
