The National Nasara Coordinator of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kamal Deen Abdulai, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of the Upper West Region for the warm welcome given President Nana Akufo-Addo during his two-day tour of the region.

Kamal Deen Abdulai, who was with the President during the two-day exercise, said the large number of people who came out to receive the President indicated that, the President and the NPP were still strong in the region.

[contextly_sidebar id=”5STUJS0reW4yKJ9sCnfe7EZkUrXbARQM”]”Some years ago, this region was a no-go area for the NPP, but today I am shocked to see the numbers that turned out to meet the President,” he recalled.

He added that, “this was an indication that the President is doing a good job.’’

“I thank the people of the Upper West Region. The love expressed by these people is so true and so real.  You see them, you speak with them and you realize that the people are truly welcoming.”

Kamal Deen Abdulai, who is also an aspiring National Youth Organizer of the NPP, interacted with party supporters who came to meet the President, noting that “they told me of some challenges they are going through and what they wish government will do for them.’’

President Akufo-Addo began his seven-day working visit to the three regions of the North on Monday.

He has moved to the Upper East Region as part of the tour, and will inspect ongoing projects in the region.

Aspiring National Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kamal-Deen Abdulai, has denied reports that he has withdrawn from the race.

Media reports in some quarters suggested that the current NASARA Coordinator is pulling out of the race for personal reasons.

The NPP will be electing new National Officers in 2018 for a four-year tenure in accordance with the party’s constitution.

Kamal-Deen Abdulai is in the race with two others who are hoping to replace Sammi Awuku.

Below is Kamal-Deen Abdulai’s full statement

It has come to my attention that there is a fictitious news item circulating in some section of the media and going viral on social media that I Kamal-Deen-Abdulai, the National Nasara Coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has withdrawn from the party’s National Youth Organiser race slated to take place somewhere in 2018.

This is a second fictitious statement that has gone viral about the youth organizer contest this week alone. I wish to state that neither I Kamal-Deen Abdulai in any form of communication have I communicated such to anybody nor any of my official communication team members communicated such to any person or group of persons.

I see this as a machiavellian tactics by my detractors who feel my continuous existent in the race poses a huge threat to their uninspiring persona, assigns or allies.

For the avoidance of doubt, I wish to state that the said news item is a hoax, complete fabrication, a figment of somebody’s imagination, total lies to dampen the spirit of the many youth of the party who see Kamal-Deen Abdulai as their next choice of a youth Organiser.

It is absurd for anybody to think that this childish hogwash of a propaganda can stand in the face of the ‘tsunami Kamal Deen’ that is coming.

I, however, wish to state as I have stated on several other platforms already that I Kamal-Deen Abdulai shall pick nomination to contest for the ‘National Youth Organiser’ position when the party opens nomination and no amount of lies, inferiority tactics, fabrications and propaganda can stop that.

Thank you

……signed…..

Pressure group Alliance for Accountable Governance(AFAG) is asking President John Mahama to resign in the face of what they describe as complete mismanagement of the country’s affairs.

According to AFAG, the wastage which has occurred under the watch of President Mahama is unprecedented.

Citing the failure of government to retrieve the judgment debt paid to Waterville after a Supreme Court ruling, AFAG said President Mahama lacks the leadership qualities to save the country.

Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, Chairman of AFAG, Dr. Ayew Afriyie noted that the recent development in the country leaves much to be desired especially under the watch of President John Dramani Mahama.

Citi FM’s Sammy Wiafe, who was at the conference, said the group cited the latest shortage of fuel as a major challenge facing the country.

He remarked that the group also cited the recent tax policies introduced by the current government as a major cause of Ghana’s problems.

“According to AFAG, President Mahama has failed in delivering his duties as the President of the nation,”Sammy Wiafe reported.

The group has therefore given the President three months to resign or face their wrath.

The group has also expressed their intention to petition Parliament over their concerns.

The government has come under criticism for failing to resolve current economic challenges bedeviling the country.

A group of protesters on Tuesday, staged a demonstration to register their displeasure about the state of the nation.

Pro New Patriotic Party (NPP) pressure group, Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG), has condemned the Criminal Investigations Department (CID’s) decision to investigate an alleged doctored speech by President John Mahama.

According to the said tape which went viral in the mass media, President Mahama “made” disparaging remarks about Ashantis, claiming they were ungrateful to his administration.

The Ministry of Information later announced that the said tape was doctored to discredit President Mahama.

The Criminal Investigations Department headquarters has since picked the matter up for investigations.

However, President of AFAG, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie in a Citi News interview described the investigations as needless.

He challenged the CID to be professional and neutral in handling such issues.

“We are not in a police state that the police will always be used to interfere into issues that affect the moral fabric of the society.”

He added, “I think this attempt by the police to interfere in this issue is absolutely needless.”

Dr. Afriyie described as cover up attempts by the Ministry of Information to justify that the President’s speech was doctored by releasing another tape meant to be the original.
