Justin Bieber was rejected by a gym employee he spotted on Instagram.

The ‘Sorry’ hitmaker was so impressed by health and fitness coach Jessica Gober when he saw her on a video on Fitness on Broughton’s Instagram page, that he messaged the gym directly asking who she was.

Jessica shared a screenshot of Justin’s direct messages, which read: “Who is that girl? In your latest post.” He also added a heart emoji.

Jessica posted the messages on Twitter and wrote: “Did this actually just happen… lmao

“Justin Bieber just messaged the gym that I work at and asked who I was hahahaha WTF (sic).”

However, Jessica was not interested and shared a number of pictures with her boyfriend, writing: “I’ve got everything I need right here.”

The gym, which is located in Georgia, shared a picture of an article about the incident and wrote: “Our girl @jessigoberr. From working the front desk to working the front page!!”

Meanwhile, Justin, 23, is reportedly doing better already after scrapped the remaining concerts on his ‘Purpose’ tour recently due to unforeseen circumstances, and he has been working on his “spiritual journey” in order to help himself to get “stronger mentally”.

A source said recently: “He started out in the business as a kid, but he is older now. He wants to have control over his life and health. He hasn’t been feeling well mentally for a while. Canceling the tour was the right thing for him.

“He needed to take a break and just focus on himself. He is doing better already. He is focused on his spiritual journey. He wants to be stronger mentally.”

Justin Bieber has cancelled the rest of his Purpose World Tour because of “unforeseen circumstances”, his publicist has said.

The move will affect 14 dates in Asia and North America over the next three months.

Bieber has performed more than 150 shows since the tour promoting his 2015 album Purpose began in March 2016.

The tour grossed $93.2m (£71.5m) in the first half of 2017, with an average of almost 40,000 ticket sales per date.

The singer himself has not yet commented on the decision on social media, but unnamed sources told US media he was “just over it”.

But a statement on his website read: “Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them.

“He is grateful and honoured to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across six continents during this run.

“However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”

Most of Bieber’s remaining dates were in the US, but he was also due to play in Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia.

Chinese officials said last week that the Canadian pop star had been banned from mainland China because he had engaged in what they described as “bad behaviour”.

Bieber’s decision comes a few weeks after British singer Adele cancelled the last two shows of her world tour on medical advice after damaging her vocal cords.

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has been banned from performing in China, according to Beijing’s Culture Bureau.

In a statement, the ministry said it was not appropriate to allow in entertainers who have engaged in “bad behaviour.”

“Justin Bieber is a gifted singer, but he is also a controversial young foreign singer,” it added.

The statement was issued in response to a question recently submitted by a user of the bureau’s website.

“We hope that as Justin Bieber matures, he can continue to improve his own words and actions, and truly become a singer beloved by the public,” the statement said.

Analysis

Justin Bieber

By John Sudworth, BBC Beijing correspondent

To its list of hostile foreign forces – one assumes ranking somewhere below the Dalai Lama and Taiwanese separatists – China has added the name Justin Bieber.

The news came in a statement from the Beijing municipal culture bureau, answering a question from a fan about why, with the singer about to embark on an Asia-wide tour, no venues have been scheduled in mainland China.

Justin Bieber is indeed “talented at singing” came the reply, but nonetheless it would not be appropriate to allow him to perform, because of what it called a number of incidents of “bad behaviour.” It did not elaborate on exactly which of Mr Bieber’s run-ins with the law it was referring to.

The pop star, who was allowed to tour China in 2013, joins a long list of musicians who have found themselves similarly blacklisted. Most though, like the British band Oasis and the US group Maroon 5, because of perceived political statements, rather than on the grounds of bad behaviour.

Justin Bieber

This hasn’t been the first time the Sorry singer has caused controversy in Asia.

In 2014, Bieber caused upset on social media after he posted a photo of himself visiting the controversial Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo.

The shrine honours fallen warriors and pays tribute to convicted war criminals but in China and South Korea, the shrine is seen as a symbol of Japan not being sorry for its empire’s past.

But despite the singer taking the photo down and apologising, the Chinese were outraged. Their foreign minister’s spokesperson said he hoped the singer had left Yasukuni with “a clear understanding of Japan’s history of invasion and militarism, and of the source of Japan’s militarism”.

Justin Bieber will be performing in Asia as part of his Purpose World Tour from September, and will be playing in Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia.

A man who posed as Justin Bieber online has been charged with more than 900 child sex-related crimes in Australia.

The man, 42, masqueraded as the Canadian singer to gain explicit images from children, Queensland Police said.

He was charged with 931 crimes, including three of rape, involving 157 alleged victims across the globe.

Detective Inspector Jon Rouse called the allegations “frankly horrendous” and warned young fans of the singer and parents to be vigilant.

“The fact that so many children could believe that they were communicating with this particular celebrity highlights the need for a serious rethink about the way that we as a society educate our children about online safety,” said Mr Rouse.

Queensland Police confirmed the investigation also involved international authorities. According to local media they are German police and US Homeland Security.

Of the alleged victims, 50 were in the US, up to 20 were in the UK and six were in Australia, police said. More precise information was still being gathered.

Child using computer
Police said the case was a warning to parents about protecting their children online

The man was already facing charges in Queensland of possessing exploitative material and grooming children, but the 931 charges were added this week after police searched his computer.

He had been using “multiple online platforms” including Facebook and Skype to communicate with children, police said.

The fresh claims, dating back to 2007, include three charges of rape and five of indecently treating a child under 12.

Mr Rouse said the allegations showed “the global reach and skill that child sex offenders have to groom and seduce victims”.

He urged parents to help keep children safe online.

The accused man will face a Brisbane court on 6 April.

Charge Number of alleged offences
Rape 3
Indecent treatment of children 5
Making child exploitation material 272

A magistrate judge has released a report recommending that a suit against Justin Bieber and Usher be dismissed.

The suit claims that the two committed copyright infringement in their hit song, ‘Somebody to Love.’

The song is part of Bieber’s 2010 album ‘My World 2.0.’

The suit was brought by Devin Copeland. Initially, it was dismissed by the courts but was allowed to move forward when appeals court judges listened to the song and decided that the choruses were similar.

The magistrate judge Douglas Millers says that Copeland failed to show that the defendants had access to his work before creating ‘Somebody to Love.’

He [Copeland] has also been unable to show where the similarities between the two works are.

Copeland said that his work, which also titled ‘Somebody to Love,’ was played on various showcases and also in the hands of some music executives.
