]]> Zylofon Music, the music wing of entertainment company, Zylofon Media will be signing and unveiling dance hall artiste Shatta Wale on to its record label tomorrow, January 31, 2018.

The unveiling will take place at the company’s head office at East Legon.

The Shatta Movement boss will be joining Stonebwoy, Becca, Kumi Guitar, Joyce Blessing, Obibini who were signed on the record label last year.

Shatta Wale (real name Charles Nii Armah Mensah), is one of the biggest dance hall artiste in Ghana.

After stepping the threshold of the music industry in the early 2000’s, Shatta Wale (formerly Bandana) went on a hiatus until he bounced back in 2013 with ‘Dancehall King’ which won him the Artiste of the Year at the 2014 edition of the Ghana Music Awards.

He has since his comeback produced a lot of hit songs like ‘Kakai,’ ‘Mahama Paper,’ ‘Ayoo,’ ‘Taking Over,’ among others.

]]> A week after her interview with Delay had brought her public scorn, gospel diva Joyce Blessing has spoken.

Joyce in an interview with Dave Hammer of Hello FM in Kumasi has stated that the interview she had with Delay on GH One television was edited to make her look bad, Citi Showbiz has learned.

“Delay wants the downfall of artistes, she edited my interview to disgrace me. That was not a complete interview. There was a fight within the interview so I even said I wouldn’t do the interview again. She assaulted my husband verbally,” she said.

She said Delay didn’t want her husband to be with her on set so it resulted in an altercation with him till they had to cut the interview.

An interview Joyce had had with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay Show last week suggested that Joyce Blessing had been ungrateful to her former manager Kwesi Ernest of Media Excel, contrary the public knowledge that Kwesi Ernest was the one that brought her into the limelight.

According to Joyce’s critics, her demeanour on the show reeked of ingratitude, bitterness and arrogance. They believe even if there was a problem between her and the former manager, she shouldn’t have deprived him of the credit that he was the one that brought her into the limelight.

Joyce on the show, while responding to Delay’s questions of the things Kwesi Ernest had done in her life, noted that a lot of the investments made during the time Kwesi managed her, were not entirely from Kwesi’s resources.

Joyce Blessing who had two unsuccessful album before meeting Kwesi Ernest, shot into the limelight in 2013 with the ‘Heavy Price’ album which won her a lot of spurs in the gospel fraternity.

Joyce Blessing is currently signed on Zylofon Music and is out with her latest album titled ‘Agye Bum.’

]]> Zylofon media, a creative arts and entertainment conglomerate, has signed on to its record label two new artistes.

The record label which has in its stable artistes like Kumi Guitar, Becca and Stonebwoy, has now signed gospel songstress Joyce Blessing and promising rapper Obibini.

At a press briefing held at the company’s premises at East Legon in Accra on Wednesday, 28th June, 2017, the Head of Communications for Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah said the label had signed a four-year contract with the two artistes.

“We are signing a four-year deal with Joyce Blessing and Obibini. It’s a complete record deal – and when I say ‘a complete record deal’ it includes distribution, promotion, production and marketing as well. We’ve also given them goodwill money that they will need for their personal running,” Mr. Baah disclosed.

He added that the ‘signees’ had been given a brand new Hyundai Sonata car each together with accommodation. He further stated that the company would require of the artistes to produce four albums within the four year period, barring any problems.

In their response, Obibini and Joyce Blessing thanked the company for signing them on and promised their fans to expect greater music works from them.

When asked if Joyce Blessing broke away from Media Excel before negotiating for the Zylofon deal, she explained that she actually got into Zylofon after she had parted with Media Excel.

“I had stopped working with Media Excel before negotiating this deal with Zylofon – and let me correct that I did not leave Media Excel. They decided not to work with me again,” Joyce stated.

Joyce Blessing is noted for songs like ‘Heavy Price,’ ‘Mensei Da,’ ‘Nyame Aguama,’ the latest ‘Agye Bum,’ among others.

Obibini on the other hand released ‘My Story’ with Bisa K Dei in 2014. He also has songs like ‘Grind Time’ and ‘Wrong Card.’ To ardent fans of rap music, Obibini is one of the very talented rappers among the up and coming artistes in Ghana.
