The prestigious Ghana Investment Awards (GIA), which recognizes excellence in the Ghana Investment Banking Industry, has announced the shortlist of award winners for the 2016 edition which comes of on Thursday.

The awards, which is in its sixth edition, will assess the performance of twenty-two (22) brokerage firms and One hundred and fifteen (115) investment advisory firms duly licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and all listed equity on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE).

In all, eleven (11) category of awards will be presented at the Kempinski Hotel, the venue for the event.

Only one award trophy will be presented to award categories with three (3) shortlisted.

All other categories will be presented with three award trophies (Gold, Silver, Bronze). The Lifetime Achievement Award is non-competitive; and it is conferred on an individual selected by major stakeholders.

The awards are collaborated by the Premier Networking Investment Club (PNIC), a business networking and investment club made up of over sixty professionals within and outside Ghana.

The event is organized with the support of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Ghana Stock Exchange and the Ghana Securities Industry Association.
