“On that basis the minority picked up the issue but that is not what the Minister is coming to do,\u201dhe added.<\/p>\n
He clarified that the Minister will just make a “statement on\u00a0\u00a0the floor of Parliament,about the\u00a0\u00a0implications on the 2015 budget of the fall of oil prices” as well as\u00a0\u00a0“<\/strong>brief\u00a0Ghanaians on the final performance of the 2015 budget.”<\/p>\n “We recall that in the 2015 budget, government used \u00a0a figure of 97 dollars per barrel and now the price fell \u00a0a few weeks ago below 50 and now it is coming back to 55, 56 so at least the good people of Ghana are entitled to know what government is doing about it,” he further explained.<\/p>\n The Minority earlier alleged that<\/strong><\/span><\/a> \u00a0government is reviewing the budget with the view of ensuring that it is not in \u201cvariance with their negotiations with the IMF.\u201d<\/p>\n However rebutting to those claims, Alan Bagbin remarked “that will not happen” since government had already made the necessary negotiations for the IMF deal.<\/p>\n “Government is not definitely going to look at the issue of the IMF bailout and its implications.
