{"id":98544,"date":"2015-03-11T13:01:37","date_gmt":"2015-03-11T13:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=98544"},"modified":"2015-03-11T13:01:37","modified_gmt":"2015-03-11T13:01:37","slug":"judge-threatens-to-force-closure-of-gyeeda-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=98544","title":{"rendered":"Judge threatens to force closure of GYEEDA case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Judge presiding over\u00a0Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) misappropriation case, \u00a0is threatening to compel the state to close the case.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;3PpFbwMclAwF1FMouycQBJUpGYFSyyTI&#8221;]The Judge Justice Efia Serwaa Asare Botwe said she will be compelled to ask the state to close the case if they [prosecutors] fail to bring their witness in the case against\u00a0former GYEEDA boss, Abuga Pele and Chief Executive of Goodwill International Group (GIG), Philip Akpeena Assibit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Justice Asare Botwe gave the warning after state prosecutors, failed for the second consecutive time to present their witness in court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Citi News\u2019<\/strong> Fred Djabanor \u00a0who was in court reported that the \u201cPresiding judge Justice Afia Asare Botwe was visibly unhappy when state prosecutors asked for an adjournment because their next witness in the case was out of town and couldn&#8217;t make it to court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said \u201cthe case was adjourned on February 23, because of the same reasons given by prosecutors today.
