Starbow airline’s determination to recommence commercial flights to the West African sub-region has caused the company to purchase brand new aircrafts from a Canadian manufacturer.<\/p>\n

Citifmonline.com <\/strong>received information that one of the aircrafts, a Bombardier\u00a0Q400 landed at the Kotoka International Airport on Saturday, February 28.<\/p>\n

Starbow will take delivery of the second aircraft later in the year but the arrival of the new aircraft takes the company’s total fleet for now to 3.<\/p>\n

Starbow airline was the first domestic airline to start sub-regional flights to Cotonou, Benin but could not sustain it.<\/p>\n

The company is now seeking to begin flights to Lagos and Abuja in Nigeria and the\u00a0purchase of the\u00a0two new aircrafts is expected to boost their efforts to receive the required license to start operations.<\/p>\n

For now, Africa World Airline is the only domestic airline operator plying the Accra-Lagos-Accra route.<\/p>\n
