There was tension in the Bimbilla Township on Friday following the enskinment of a sub chief of the area.<\/p>\n

A journalist with Bimbilla based Mantambo Radio, Mohamed Ameenu\u00a0told Citi News<\/strong>, there was heavy Police presence in the area during the enskinment process.<\/p>\n He said they were installing Sakpe Naa, as Bimbilga Lena.<\/p>\n \u201cSakpe Naa, is the former chief of Salgakpe which is a village under Bimbilla and now he is being moved from Sakpe to Bimbalga. Bimbalga is also a village under Bimbilla\u2026 and it\u2019s the regent who is enskinning him,” he explained, adding that\u00a0“the other faction too, says they do not recognize him as such.\u201d<\/p>\n The enskinment, which was done at the Bimbilla Palace according to Ameenu, did not affect business in the town.<\/p>\n He added that though the other faction did not agree with the process, \u201cnobody opposed the installation. But there is security presence at the palace. The Police commander and his men were at the palace.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Adams Mustapha, son of a former claimant to the skin, Alhaji Salifu Dawuni said the police were not fair to them.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cbased on the laws of the land, we feel that it is against the law because the case has been appealed in the Supreme Court and notices have been sent to the factions involved so we don\u2019t understand why they\u00a0\u00a0 should go ahead and do anything which has to do with the thrown.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOnce the appeal notice has been filed it serves as an injunction automatically and any activity that violates it is illegal. We have served notices to the security agencies concerned, REGSEC, DISEC and all the other parties concerned so we are looking up to them,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
