{"id":92817,"date":"2015-02-19T07:10:41","date_gmt":"2015-02-19T07:10:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=92817"},"modified":"2015-02-19T10:47:37","modified_gmt":"2015-02-19T10:47:37","slug":"npp-face-police-defying-w%c9%94n-gbo-demo-route","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=92817","title":{"rendered":"NPP to face Police for defying &#8216;w\u0254n gbo&#8217; demo route"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The leadership of the NPP has some explanation to do for deviating from some of the approved routes for the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/02\/18\/nana-addo-leads-w%C9%94n-gbo-demo\/#sthash.nl6AG7T0.dpbs\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>&#8216;w\u0254n gbo&#8217;\u00a0demonstration on Wednesday<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Accra Regional Police have indicated that it will invite the party to answer questions to that effect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will be calling them to come and explain their actions,\u201d said Accra Region Police Commander DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohunu \u201cBecause if you defy a court order then it is contempt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday the <a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/02\/17\/police-tried-to-stop-w%C9%94n-gbo-demo-npp\/#sthash.UXIknnNA.YrPYUqI4.dpbs\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>Police went to court<\/strong><\/span><\/a> to enjoin the NPP to stick to the route agreed on.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;K9IbbPILy3ALqWkvgX0ply0bxjjX8RS2&#8243;]But during the protest on Wednesday, some of the organizers used the Central Business District instead of the agreed TUC-Accra Polytechnic route.<\/p>\n<p>The Police however say apart from the deviation from the approved routes the demonstrators conducted themselves well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe conduct was okay.
