{"id":89312,"date":"2015-02-07T08:30:30","date_gmt":"2015-02-07T08:30:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=89312"},"modified":"2015-02-07T07:03:13","modified_gmt":"2015-02-07T07:03:13","slug":"mahama-sets-taskforce-oversee-exim-bank-establishment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=89312","title":{"rendered":"Mahama sets up taskforce to oversee Exim Bank establishment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President John Mahama has set-up a taskforce to work on the establishment of a Ghana Exim Bank.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;0LO78GcMiGm3zy1E9vc1eTVie2tw1UpI&#8221;]The taskforce, which will be chaired by the Chair of the ECOBANK Board of\u00a0Directors, Lionel Van Lare Dosoo, also includes the Managing Director of\u00a0GCB Limited, Simon Dornoo and Steve Williams, a banker.<\/p>\n<p>Government announced plans to set-up a Ghana Export-Import Bank in its\u00a02015 Budget and Financial Estimates, as a step towards the strategic positioning of Ghana as an export-led economy.<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Exim Bank will be a vehicle for the consolidation of the current export finance activities of the Export Development and Agricultural Investment Fund (EDAIF), Eximguaranty Company and Export Finance Company.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement signed by the Chief of Staff, Prosper Bani, the taskforce will also have representatives from a number of institutions including the Association of Ghana Industries, Export Finance Company, Eximguaranty Company, Ghana Export Promotion Authority, EDAIF and the Federation of Ghanaian Exporters.<\/p>\n<p>The others are the Bank of Ghana, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Finance and the Attorney General\u2019s Department.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: Presidency<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President John Mahama has set-up a taskforce to work on the establishment of a Ghana Exim Bank.
