The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has released the official time table for the load shedding exercise across the country.<\/p>\n
A new time table has become necessary following the intensification of the load shedding exercise, popularly known as ‘dumsor.’<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”OjZN7WDEirJanB1vefZj4z3ApCQNzbOb”]In an interview with Citi News,<\/strong> Director of Operations for the ECG, Engineer Tetteh Okine said\u00a0the load shedding exercise will be followed holistically.<\/p>\n Engineer \u00a0Okine assured that the program will be reviewed before the end of March.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve already started, so far we\u2019ve made the programme till the end of March. But the load management committee meets regularly so as and when we meet we will review the situation, if there is the need to make any changes to the timetable then we will do that. This programme is to make sure you don\u2019t go off two days or three days.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the revised load-shedding program, households will be without power for 24 hours.<\/p>\n ECG says households are expected to enjoy 12 hours of constant electricity supply under the new program that has been in operation for some time now.<\/p>\n
