The Presidency has confirmed the departures of Communications Adviser to the President, Ben Dotsei Malor and Secretary to the President, Dr. Raymond Atuguba from the Flagstaff House.<\/p>\n
Rumours of the exit of the\u00a0two senior officials at the Presidency surfaced earlier this week with several reports suggesting that the two were\u00a0unhappy with recent events at the Flagstaff House.<\/p>\n
However, according to a statement signed by the Chief of Staff, Prosper Bani, Mr. Dotsei Malor’s exit is as a result of the conclusion of\u00a0\u00a0his one-year contract as Communications Adviser at the Flagstaff House.<\/p>\n
He will now return to the United Nations (UN) “from where he had taken a one-year leave of absence.”<\/p>\n
The statement added that Raymond Atuguba has also returned to the University of Ghana following the end of his “two-year sabbatical leave.”<\/p>\n
The statement also added that “the Flagstaff House Communications Bureau will be responsible for all other communications operations and functions of the Presidency.”<\/p>\n
The Minister for Communications Omane Boamah and\u00a0Cabinet Secretary Mr. Roger Angsomwine will now serve as the President’s Spokesman and Secretary respectively.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0changes, according to the statement,\u00a0\u201care part of changes which will be taking place at the Flagstaff House over the next few days.\u201d<\/p>\n
