[contextly_sidebar id=”rCQjTNjBpqDgo8LQ0AevdoI2SLsq1aSP”]But some Ghanaians who spoke to\u00a0Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0on the worsening power situation and the president\u2019s appeal said their patients have run out and they will only be convinced when the problem is solved.<\/p>\n One citizen was of the opinion that six years in power is long enough to effectively manage the power situation.<\/p>\n \u201cSix years in power is no excuse and how long are we going to be patient? He [Mahama] said it last year that it was fixed, so is this a new problem or something that has been there already? We seem not to have any way around this. That is what we see now and most of us are tired! We\u2019ve reached a point that we can\u2019t take it any longer. We won\u2019t believe whatever he is saying.\u201d<\/p>\n Another was also of the view that it is not a matter of being patient because \u201cthe President keeps promising and if you are patient or not, we still find ourselves in the \u2018dum\u2019 situation. It\u2019s no more \u2018dumsor\u2019 but the \u2018dum\u2019 situation so we just need our lights back on and he should stop promising.\u201d<\/p>\n One also complained to Citi News<\/strong> saying, \u201cwe don\u2019t believe in what he is saying because he is not a man who keeps his word. He will say this and then he will do another thing.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe keeps failing on that particular promise. Last year he said in May and the later, he gave another promise. It\u2019s promise after promise.
