\"rape\"<\/a>The Finder\u2019s investigations have revealed that Lance Corporal Isaac Kwaako, who is being investigated for rape, has told investigators that he had the consent of the wife of his friend he allegedly raped.<\/p>\n

According to our investigations, the suspect told investigators that he gave the victim GH\u00a2 20 after the inci\u00addent.<\/p>\n

Lance Corporal Kwaako of the Nungua District Police, who is in po\u00adlice cells accused of raping the wife of another Lance Corporal, from infor\u00admation gathered, has told investigators that the sexual intercourse was of mu\u00adtual consent and that he gave the vic\u00adtim GH\u00a215 for transportation after the\u00a0act.<\/p>\n

According to the suspect, the lady,\u00a0who sells popular local beverage \u2018sobolo\u2019, and her husband usually visit him and he also reciprocates the gesture.<\/p>\n

Confirming the incident, DSP Free\u00adman Tettey, Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Com\u00admand, said on Tuesday, March 18 that Lance Corporal Kwaako called the victim to bring him \u2018sobolo\u2019 worth Gh\u00a25 at the Nungua Shell Filling Station.<\/p>\n

The suspect is said to have asked the victim to accompany him to the house, where he would pay her the money.<\/p>\n

At the house, the suspect is said to have offered the victim a seat in the sitting room and engaged her in a short conversation.<\/p>\n

DSP Tettey said the victim told the police that Lance Corporal Kwaako started fondling her but she objected\u00a0to the act. Consequently, the suspect is said to have grabbed the victim, dragged her to the bedroom and raped her.<\/p>\n

The victim told the police that she\u00a0called for help but to no avail, and after the act, the suspect gave her GH\u00a2\u00a015 and told her to deduct the\u00a0Gh\u00a25 tor the sobolo\u2019 and use the re\u00admaining GH\u00a2 15 for transport home.<\/p>\n

The victim broke the news to the husband on the dawn of March 19 and the husband reported the incident to the Nungua District Police Command, who forwarded the case to the Domes\u00adtic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Kpeshie Divisional Police Command.<\/p>\n

DOVVSU detained Lance Corpo\u00adral Kwaako at the Teshie Police Sta\u00adtion for investigations.\u00a0Police are waiting for medical re\u00adport to continue with investigations.<\/p>\n

The Finder\u2019s investigation indi\u00adcates that the suspect is a close friend of the victim\u2019s husband (name with\u00adheld), who also happens to be a Police Lance Corporal.<\/p>\n

The investigations also revealed that the victim is a married woman with one child while the suspect, on the other hand, is said to have been re\u00adcently married and has no child yet.<\/p>\n

The two Lance Corporals have been close friends for some time now and both live in separate rented apart\u00adments at Nungua.<\/p>\n

The suspect, the victim and her husband are all said to be in their 20s.<\/p>\n
