Citi News<\/strong>, the Director General of the Ghana Police Public Affairs Department, DCOP David Ampah Banyin said: \u201cTo go to the President is a serious matter.\u201d<\/p>\nHe was of the opinion that the officers could have petitioned the Police Council which is the highest decision making body in the service after their attempts to get a hearing failed at various channels.<\/p>\n
There have been complaints about unfair promotions in the past by police officers but none have gone as far as the presidency.<\/p>\n
The Police administration is currently trying to establish if the officers used all the means available to make their case heard.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen the time comes for us to give our punishment we will know whether they followed the laid down regulations.\u201d DCOP Ampah Benin said.<\/p>\n
