An International Relations Analyst, Dr. Vladmir Antwi Danso wants government to sack officials who sanctioned the erection of Nigerian political party campaign billboards here in Accra.<\/p>\n
He indicated that the billboards pose a security threat to the nation because the turf war in Nigeria could be imported into the country.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the Nigerian general election on\u00a0February 14, the supporters of the country\u2019s main opposition leader, Muhammadu Buhari, have erected campaign billboards across Accra.<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n It is believed that Buhari\u2019s supporters put up the billboards to campaign to the hundreds of Nigerians resident in Ghana.<\/p>\n The number of Nigerians in Ghana is also increasing<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>by the day due to the threats of Islamist Militant group, Boko Haram.<\/p>\n Some Ghanaians have expressed concerns over these developments and according to Dr. Antwi Danso, the security agencies in Ghana must take immediate steps to forestall any unforeseen circumstances.<\/p>\n He indicated that the consequences of importing Nigerian politics into the country could be dire hence his call.<\/p>\n He asked, \u201cwho allowed the bill boards to be placed here in the first place because there are rules and regulations for bill boards? Where are our security agencies?\u201d<\/p>\n Dr. Antwi Danso maintained that the billboards are a threat and \u201cit is something we shouldn\u2019t have allowed.\u201d<\/p>\n He thus called for the dismissal of the persons who authorized the reception of the billboards saying, \u201cI think heads should roll over how the thing came here because somebody might have taken money.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has ordered the removal of the billboards which are located at Danquah Circle and on the Accra-Tema Motorway.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n By: Efua Idan Osam\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana
