{"id":82447,"date":"2015-01-14T19:03:21","date_gmt":"2015-01-14T19:03:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=82447"},"modified":"2015-01-14T19:23:30","modified_gmt":"2015-01-14T19:23:30","slug":"npp-had-no-fund-raising-on-day-of-nayele-arrest-nana-akomea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=82447","title":{"rendered":"NPP didn&#8217;t mastermind Nayele&#8217;s UK trip \u2013\u00a0Nana Akomea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has denied hosting a fund raising dinner on the day\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/01\/06\/nayele-sentenced-8-years-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\">jailed cocaine courier, Nayele Ametefe<\/span><\/strong><\/a> was arrested in the United Kingdom (UK).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;73t4nDW8FDvskHaF061vMlwWvgyqgY1J&#8221;]The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia during a press conference on Wednesday accused the NPP of masterminding Nayele\u2019s trip to the UK with the aim of hosting her at their fund raising ceremony.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Asiedu Nketia said\u00a0because Nayele&#8217;s trip coincided with the NPP\u2019s fund-raising ceremony, he concluded that the NPP was complicit in the cocaine brouhaha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI would want to find how much was raised by NPP during the event after Nayele\u2019s arrest; and whether they met their proposed target for the fund-raising,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But speaking\u00a0on the <strong>Eyewitness News<\/strong>, Nana Akomea, Communications Director of the NPP insisted that \u201cthe NPP has had no fund raising dinner at the time Nayele Ametefe was arrested.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIn any case, if the NPP was arranging for Nayele to attend a fund raising dinner, was it the NPP that passed her through the VVIP? Put cocaine in her hand luggage, and had her come to Heathrow Airport?
