{"id":82299,"date":"2015-01-14T12:33:51","date_gmt":"2015-01-14T12:33:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=82299"},"modified":"2015-01-14T12:33:51","modified_gmt":"2015-01-14T12:33:51","slug":"global-shapers-connect-ghana-historic-davos-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=82299","title":{"rendered":"Global shapers to connect Ghana to historic Davos event"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><\/div>\n<div>The Global Shapers Accra Hub is organizing an event in that will connect the influential World Economic Forum and put Ghana on the map.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Slated for <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1632007774\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Thursday, January 15<\/span><\/span>, the session will connect with World Economic Forum\u2019s annual meeting of 2015 of Davos of Switzerland on the theme \u00b4Building trust in Public-Private Partnerships\u00b4.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Altogether 40 cities will be connected to Davos to host a global conversation on an issue related to the theme of the World Economic Forum\u2019s Annual Meeting 2015 in Davos-Klosters, according to a statement issued by the Hub.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Shaping Davos event is being organized by the Global Shapers to enable local solutions for global issues.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;The event is an important opportunity to share local knowledge and perspectives, enabling people around the world to learn from Accra\u2019s experiences and also to respect and appreciate our perspectives,&#8221; Hub Curator Deborah Ahenkorah said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The Hub will contribute to the event in two main ways &#8211; a Local Activity on <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1632007775\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Thursday, January 15<\/span><\/span> and a main activity &#8211; Davos Broadcast &#8211; on <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1632007776\"><span class=\"aQJ\">January 19<\/span><\/span>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This is the first time that Accra will be connected live with the World Economic Forum.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The local activity will feature a panel discussion with a diverse range of national experts from the public and private sectors as panelists.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The panelists include Moses Baiden, Chairman of the Margins Group and Honorable Rashid-Abdul Pelpuo, Member of Parliament, Wa who doubles as the Minister of State for Private Public Partnerships.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Also speaking will be Christabel Dadzie, a well-known consultant for USAID on non-governmental projects.<\/div>\n<div>Accra Hub\u2019s own Global Shaper Kow Essuman, a lawyer, will also be speaking.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The main activity, Shaping Davos Live, will provide viewers around the world with an unique opportunity to access the highlights from the panel discussion.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8211;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Source: \u00a0Global Shapers Community<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Global Shapers Accra Hub is organizing an event in that will connect the influential World Economic Forum and put Ghana on the map.
