Health Minister, Dr. Kwaku Agyemang-Mensah has set up a committee to investigate the management of the Central Medical Stores at Tema after expressing dissatisfaction at the running of the warehouse.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”FyQAoOPwC6tt7mxoJBevNv4bm6JF2LYZ”]The setting up the committee comes after fire gutted the central medical stores in Tema on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The warehouse which stores drugs for public hospital across the country was ravaged by the fire.<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Many have raised questions over how the government hospitals will cope following the fire outbreak.<\/p>\n

But Minister of Health has given the assurance that there are enough drugs and medical equipment to last for the next two months.<\/p>\n

Addressing the media on the issue, the sector Minister disclosed that the various regions have stock piles that will last between two to three months therefore; there is no cause for alarm.<\/p>\n

According to him, the Ministry has a temporary warehouse and so the items which will be salvaged from the inferno will be stored there \u201cso there is no need to panic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will wait for the National Fire Service to do the proper investigation then we will know what we have lost and what we have left,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
