Ace broadcaster Kwesi Kyei Darkwa (KKD) will today [Tuesday] make a second attempt to seek bail, after being charged for allegedly raping a 19-year-old lady.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”cS7HfDw1uozXXIuCMmMbRVkYnwvUiODF”]He has been denied bail once\u00a0by a Kaneshi District court.<\/p>\n

He later resorted to the Human Rights court in Accra for bail but the case was not heard because the prosecutor said they needed more time to study KKD’s application.<\/p>\n

According to KKD’s lawyers, they are seeking bail at a higher court<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>because the District court does not have the locus to grant their client bail over a rape case.<\/p>\n

The fashion icon has been accused of raping 19-year-old Ewuraffe Orleans Thompson in December last year and has since been in the custody of the Police since December 28.<\/p>\n

KKD is facing charges for rape; an allegation he has flatly denied with the explanation that he had “consensual sex” with the victim.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, he was rushed to the Police Hospital<\/strong><\/span><\/a> last week Thursday after he was spotted in the court limping.<\/p>\n
