Eyewitness News<\/strong> Dr Yankson argued that Mr Pianim should instead advise the government to meet the demands of workers.<\/p>\n\u201cIf he is also so minded, he should also advise government to do the little that they have to do for workers because we have no option than to speak the only language that the government seem to understand.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Deputy General Secretary therefore suggest that the government should find solutions to these demands made by the labor unions, adding, \u201cthe government should look at the prevailing circumstances, what they had refused to do over the years and what may have revoked some of these activities in the past and then even going forward as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAs far as the GMA is concerned some of these issues that we are talking about have been on these tables for five years now and it\u2019s unfortunate that the government had refused to address these issues,\u201dhe bemoaned.<\/p>\n
He disclosed that the GMA is expecting the government to meet their demands before the the times expires<\/p>\n
\u201cIn regards our conditions of service we have submitted a draft proposal to them and they haven\u2019t gotten back to us. We have given them to the 30th<\/sup> of June this year and we expect them to be able to work within that period,\u201d he said<\/p>\n\u201cWe are very law abiding but if our employers refused to also\u00a0 give the little that is due us then definitely the turbulence will continue,\u201dhe warned.<\/p>\n
