The youth within the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region have started the 2016 election campaigns in the Northern Region by launching the Dombo Youth Association.<\/p>\n

The Dombo Youth Association is an amalgamation of NPP youth groups in the Northern Region, charged with the responsibility to help the party win more parliamentary seats in the general elections in 2016.<\/p>\n

At the official launch in Gumani, the association\u2019s President, Fuseini Abdul Majeed urged Ghanaians to ignore what he described as the NDC\u2019s \u201cvile propaganda\u201d that the NPP was an Akan party.<\/p>\n

He unveiled the Association\u2019s agenda to embark on a door-to-door campaign to wrestle power from the governing NDC especially in the Northern Region which is noted to be one of its electoral \u201cWorld Banks.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Fuseini Abdul Majeed, the Northern Region will turn into the NDC\u2019s \u201crural bank in 2016.\u201d<\/p>\n

Majeed thus called for deeper volunteerism and commitment to party activities towards achieving the Association\u2019s objective.<\/p>\n

\u201cClearly visible is the need to increase our efforts in mobilizing grassroot support and stronger commitment to party activities and all other initiatives that will help us win power for the NPP and we believe can resolve our pressing needs and that of the unborn generation,\u201d he said in an interview with Citi News<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He served notice that the Association\u2019s members will match the NDC boot for boot at the polling stations to avoid any form of rigging in 2016.<\/p>\n

He asked the electorates to vote massively for Nana Akufo Addo and all the NPP Parliamentary candidates to \u201crescue them from oppression.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fuseini Abdul Majeed condemned President John Mahama\u2019s administration for \u201cMismanaging\u201d the economy.<\/p>\n

A member of the NPP Northern Regional Communication team, Fredrick Tahiru also in an interview with Citi News<\/strong> said that the John Mahama led NDC administration had nothing new to offer Ghanaians.<\/p>\n

According to him, the 2016 elections will not be \u201cchild\u2019s play\u201d for which reason the NPP will be vigilant at all the polling stations to avoid another election petition hearing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe NDC has been having wet dreams that they are going to win the 2016 elections and we are not going into the elections ring with kid gloves at all: we are getting into the 2016 elections with huge amount of seriousness and I will want to task the NDC to get back and sleep, perhaps they will get a better dream that will let the people of this country know that it is not possible that the NDC will continue to remain in power.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fredrick Tahiru thereby challenged NPP youth to avoid complacency and heavily descend on the NDC\u2019s \u201cMaladministration\u201d in their localities particularly in the media.<\/p>\n

He was optimistic about the NPP winning more seats in the Northern Region in 2016\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0to top up the already secured 10 seats in Parliament.<\/p>\n
