Citi News<\/strong>, a Deputy Minister of Local Government Nii Lantey Vanderpuye said the local government ministry \u00a0will \u00a0devise measures\u00a0 to ensure that the plan succeeds.<\/p>\n\u201cWe cannot really take action, what\u00a0 we will say that we will find out the report from the other regions \u2026and we will have a chat with them and let them understand [the essence\u00a0 of the exercise].\u201d<\/p>\n
He said the Ministry will also provide the necessary tools and equipment needed for the clean up exercise in various regions, adding that the Ministry will also educate residents in various areas on the importance of the exercise to forestall poor patronage in\u00a0 subsequent exercises.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile a senior law lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr Poku Adusei has called for the enactment of a law to ensure that the National Sanitation day programme is enforced.<\/p>\n
This according to him will compel \u00a0Ghanaians to actively participate in the monthly clean up exercise.<\/p>\n
