But this morning we went to the office to collect the card and go for the money but they told us that the cheque has been dishonored so there is no way we are getting our monies,\u201d one of the personnel narrated.<\/p>\n<p>Another also expressed anger and frustration over the unpaid allowances saying, \u201cI spent GHC 50 from my home town to this place and I was told the check has re-bounced and they are asked us to go back. That means we have come for nothing.&#8221;<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv8740320640\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv8740320640\">In December, NSS personnel across the country gave the Secretariat <a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/12\/01\/nss-personnel-issue-ultimatum-over-unpaid-allowance\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>a one-week ultimatum<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>to pay them their three months allowance or face their wrath.<\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv8740320640\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv8740320640\">The NSS Acting Executive Director, Dr. Michael Kpessa-Whyte in response disclosed that <a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/10\/28\/nss-personnel-will-receive-their-allowances-soon-kpessah-whyte\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>all necessary auditing and validation<\/strong><\/span><\/a> of pay vouchers at the NSS Secretariat for the payment of money have been completed and that all cheques have been dispatched to the various regions to complete the process of payment of personnel allowances.<\/div>\n<div id=\"yiv8740320640yui_3_16_0_1_1420029681461_8316\"><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>By: Patricia Conteh\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv8740320640\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over a hundred national service personnel in the Nkronza North District of the Brong Ahafo Region besieged the National Service Scheme (NSS) office demanding the payment of their November allowance.
