Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong who made the call in a sermon at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Abeka, Accra last week\u00a0said, the best way to develop our country is to have a non-partisan Ghana-We-Want Agenda which will be embraced and implemented by any political party that comes to power.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that, it is the responsibility of government to facilitate the development of the Ghana-We-Want Agenda through effective consultations with key stakeholders such as religious bodies, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), political parties, traditional leaders, student groups, academic institutions, business leaders and professional bodies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAs a nation, we must do an evaluation of where we came from, where we are now, and where we want to go. This should guide us in developing our national dream,\u201d he proposed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to him, the development of the Ghana-We-Want Agenda should be a shared vision and responsibility with adequate inputs from all sectors of our society that will awaken, co-ordinate and direct people\u2019s efforts, minds and national resources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe African Union (AU) is currently developing the Africa-We-Want Agenda 2063, and we must learn from it and also do deep thinking of the future we want as a nation to reflect that of the 2063 AU Agenda,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rev Opuni-Frimpong said, most of the developed countries in the world today got to where they are because they had a national dream.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The CCG chief scribe stated that, \u201cwe need to do away with politicizing every national issue and begin to dream the Ghana-We-Want the next 50 years through consensus building and a sense of patriotism\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Source: CCG<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) has made a passionate appeal for the a new development agenda for Ghana.
