Renowned Ghanaian personality, Kwasi Kyei Darkwa, popularly known as KKD, is being processed for court.<\/p>\n
His counsel, Nana Asante Bediatuo in an interview with Citi News <\/strong>said\u00a0he will later\u00a0file a bail application at the court.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”elEbAxQv2crhO16rEpe9GNMduNbQfFJf”]According to Citi News\u2019<\/strong> Franklin Badu Jnr, Nana Asante Bediatuo said\u00a0his client is being processed for court because the Police have 48 hours to put him before a court \u201cfor the court to determine whether he should be held or not.\u201d<\/p>\n KKD was arrested on Sunday at the African Regent Hotel over alleged sexual assault of a 19-year-old girl but his Counsel has\u00a0dismissed the claims with the explanation that his\u00a0client and the complainant \u00a0had \u201cconsensual sex\u201d<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n According to him, KKD has not been \u201ccharged with any crime; we are looking forward to going to court and making a prayer to the court for bail.\u201d<\/p>\n He was however optimistic that considering the merits of the case, KKD is likely to be granted bail.<\/p>\n Nana Asante Bediatuo has\u00a0commended the Police personnel at the Airport Police station for not infringing upon the rights of his client since his arrest on Sunday.<\/p>\n He said the Police have acted fairly and have carried out their investigations with decorum \u201cand we don\u2019t have any difficulty with that. There is nothing untoward about it; the police have to get to the bottom of the matter.\u201d<\/p>\n KKD\u2019s counsel pointed out that such kinds of investigations sometimes turn out to help the accused persons \u201cand in fact, it may reveal that the allegations are baseless.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, some family members and friends of KKD are expected to join him today at court.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n By: Efua Idan Osam\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana
