{"id":77897,"date":"2014-12-29T06:30:19","date_gmt":"2014-12-29T06:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=77897"},"modified":"2014-12-28T23:34:09","modified_gmt":"2014-12-28T23:34:09","slug":"show-us-respect-complain-nduom-govt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=77897","title":{"rendered":"Show us respect when we complain \u2013 Nduom to gov\u2019t"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The founder of the Progressive People\u2019s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has advised government officials to treat Ghanaians with respect when they complain of harsh economic conditions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we the people complain about difficulties that confront us as we live in our own country, leaders in government will show us some respect and talk to us in a manner that will give us hope for a better tomorrow,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>This was among the many things the PPP founder wished for the nation and its citizens in the coming year.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;lXfue44iCbfUnZMHVbErfwolI6SGSxbH&#8221;]In a post on his Facebook page over the weekend titled; \u2018My wishes for a stronger, more prosperous Ghana in 2015,\u2019 Dr. Nduom expressed the hope that politicians will focus on developing the country and improving the standard of living in 2015 rather that looking ahead to the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n<p>He also wished that \u201call of us in leadership positions in the country will work hard to improve the living conditions of workers, the poor, aged and children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He charged the President to support the wish of Ghanaians by ensuring the 1992 Constitution is amended to allow the election of District, Municipal, Metropolitan Chief Executives (MMDCEs).<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Nduom also admonished President John Mahama to ensure the 1992 Constitution is amended to separate the Office of Attorney-General from the Ministry of Justice so that an \u201cIndependent Prosecutor can lead a serious effort in the war against corruption.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 2012 presidential candidate of the PPP\u2019s also wished that Ghanaian citizens \u201cwill find it in their hearts to support Ghanaian enterprises to become stronger, more prosperous and that our government will support them through the judicious use of its purchasing power.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He observed that 2014 was a difficult year for business owners and managers who were burdened with working though \u201crough economic times without help from any quarter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI salute the Ghanaian entrepreneurs and the managers who have forged ahead and invested their monies right here at home with the hope that a brighter future is ahead of us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGod bless each and every one of them and reward their actions with success.
