{"id":77677,"date":"2014-12-28T09:27:27","date_gmt":"2014-12-28T09:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=77677"},"modified":"2014-12-28T09:27:27","modified_gmt":"2014-12-28T09:27:27","slug":"ac-milan-signs-fernando-torres-permanent-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=77677","title":{"rendered":"AC Milan signs Fernando Torres on permanent deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chelsea and Spain striker Fernando Torres will join AC Milan on a permanent basis on 5 January.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Torres, 30, moved to the Serie A club on a two-year loan deal in August and will now make his move permanent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">BBC Sport understands he will be loaned out to former club Atletico Madrid next month, with Italy winger Alessio Cerci, 27, arriving from the Spanish side.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Torres joined Chelsea from Liverpool for a then British record transfer fee of \u00a350m in January 2011.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The striker helped win the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup while at Chelsea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a statement, Chelsea thanked the 2010 World Cup winner for &#8220;his service during the past four seasons&#8221; and wished him &#8220;the very best for the future&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Torres had been linked with a return to boyhood club Atletico Madrid after the Spanish champions&#8217; president hinted at a deal earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier on Saturday, Atletico assistant coach German Burgos also said a deal was &#8220;on the verge of completion&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;He will be a very important reinforcement for the second half of the season,&#8221; Diego Simeone&#8217;s number two told Spanish media.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Torres left Atletico for Liverpool in 2007.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Source: BBC<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chelsea and Spain striker Fernando Torres will join AC Milan on a permanent basis on 5 January.
