{"id":75691,"date":"2014-12-20T11:10:27","date_gmt":"2014-12-20T11:10:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=75691"},"modified":"2014-12-20T11:10:42","modified_gmt":"2014-12-20T11:10:42","slug":"sony-studio-head-wants-idris-elba-next-james-bond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=75691","title":{"rendered":"Sony Studio head wants Idris Elba for next James Bond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During a particularly droll year-end press conference on Friday, President Obama channeled his inner Louis C.K., entertaining a horde of reporters on subjects ranging from Congress to Cuba to a hybrid NFLer\/actor by the name of &#8220;James Flacco.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>One of the first questions lobbed at the Commander-in-Chief concerned the Sony hack and subsequent cancellation of <i>The Interview\u2019s<\/i> film release\u2014a destructive cyber-terror attack on the film studio as supposed retribution for their Kim Jong Un assassination comedy, which FBI officials believe to be the work of North Korea (though cybersecurity experts have their doubts).<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Sony] suffered significant damage, there were threats against some employees. I am sympathetic to the concerns that they faced,\u201d Obama said. \u201cHaving said all that, yes, I think they made a mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cWe cannot have a society in which some dictator someplace can start imposing censorship here in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Plenty of the Sony emails have focused on Sony\u2019s prized horse\u2014the James Bond franchise, including the 24<sup>th<\/sup> Bond flick <i>Spectre<\/i>, scheduled to hit theaters on November 6, 2015. Reports have indicated that the script has leaked, the film\u2019s\u00a0budget ballooned to over $300 million, and that it may feature Blofeld as the villain.<\/p>\n<p>For years, there\u2019s been a lot of online chatter suggesting that Idris Elba, the suave British actor, should be the next James Bond\u2014making him the first black 007.<\/p>\n<p>Current superspy Daniel Craig has even voiced his desire to vacate the post, telling\u00a0<em>Rolling Stone<\/em> in 2012, \u201cI&#8217;ve been trying to get out of this from the very moment I got into it.
