1.5em;\">A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)<span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"e43981d6-953c-46ca-a662-36066465eaa9\">,<\/span>Dr. Arthur Kennedy, says he is not convinced that Nana Akufo Addo has learnt his lessons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am not convinced that Akufo Addo has learnt his lessons &#8230;I believe that as far as the party\u2019s interest is concerned, we need to be very careful about taking back into the fray the same candidate who has lost \u00a0elections twice for us,\u201d he said<\/p>\n<p>Nana Akufo-Addo announced he will contest the NPP\u2019s primaries to lead the party in the 2016 elections on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking earlier on Thursday, Akufo-Addo said that after reflections, he is prepared psychologically and emotionally, \u00a0for the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n<p>But speaking on <b>Eyewitness News,<\/b> Dr. Kennedy stated that it was imperative for Nana Akufo -Addo to prove to both the party and Ghanaians that he had grown and\u00a0 learnt from his mistakes.<\/p>\n<p>He also stated that <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"acfb1407-9529-411e-9a00-fae290c8bc70\">onus<\/span> lies on Akufo Addo to cause a remarkable change in the party saying \u201cas far as I am concerned, Akufo- Addo has taken us to defeat twice, so he has a burden on himself to persuade us that it will be different.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to him, Nana Akufoo Addo would have performed better if he had avoided unnecessary comments such as \u201call die be <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"fe165241-7988-40a6-a199-80244e62e1aa\">die<\/span>\u201d in the past.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think life is a growth process so I believe that the case for retaining him is a difficult one, but I have an open mind and I\u2019m waiting for that case be made,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He also opined that, it was unethical for party officers to take sides by declaring their support for Akufo Addo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a blatant disregard for the party\u2019s customs and traditions for party officers, who are supposed to be mutual referees to declare their support for one of the candidates
