Hiplife artiste Kwaw Kese has been discharged from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after he was rushed from prison to the facility on Thursday\u00a0night.<\/p>\n

According to Citi News\u2019<\/strong> Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Hawa Iddrisu, Kwaw Kesse was discharge last night and is currently in police\u00a0custody and will be transported to prison later this morning.<\/p>\n

Kwaw Kese was arrested at a drinking spot \u00a0in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region for allegedly using\u00a0a substance suspected to be marijuana.<\/p>\n

He was on December 8, remanded in prison custody till December 22, 2014<\/strong><\/a><\/span> after the court presided over by Justice William Boampong turned down his bail application.<\/p>\n

Kwaw Kese\u2019s lawyer, Nana Kwasi Boaitey, argued that the speculation by the police that the substance was Indian hemp was not enough for the court to deny his client bail.<\/p>\n

Since his arrest, major stakeholders in the music industry including \u00a0former hiplife artiste Lord Kenya and Samini had called for his release<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n
