This is the highest rate recorded since 2010.<\/p>\n<p>The monthly inflation rate however declined from 2.7% to 0.9%.<\/p>\n<p>The non-food group recorded a marginal increase in inflation rate from 24% to 24.1% in November.<\/p>\n<p>This was mainly driven by housing, water and electricity which recorded an inflation rate of 36.2%. Education recorded the lowest inflation rate of 9%.<\/p>\n<p>Food inflation inched up marginally from 6.5% to 6.6% which was driven by coffee, tea and cocoa which recorded an inflation rate of 20.5%.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Ghana Statistical Service, the prices of vegetables averagely have fallen by 5.5% compared to same period last year.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Government Statistician, Dr Baah Wadeah tells Citi Business News this is because there are more vegetables on the market now.<\/p>\n<p>The central region recorded the highest regional inflation rate of 19.5% while the Upper-West region recorded the lowest rate of 13.1%.<\/p>\n<p>The Greater Accra region recorded an inflation rate of 16.3%.<\/p>\n<p>By: Kwaku Anim Boadu\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Year on year inflation for the month of November increased to 17% from 16.9% recorded in October.
