{"id":7211,"date":"2014-03-19T20:22:53","date_gmt":"2014-03-19T20:22:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=7211"},"modified":"2014-03-20T09:42:30","modified_gmt":"2014-03-20T09:42:30","slug":"adeis-attack-on-mahama-is-unfortunate-kwakye-ofosu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=7211","title":{"rendered":"Adei&#8217;s attack on Mahama \u2018unfortunate\u2019 \u2013 Kwakye Ofosu"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_5768\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5768\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Felix-Ofusu-Kwakye.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5768\" alt=\"Felix Ofosu-Kwakye\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Felix-Ofusu-Kwakye.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5768\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Felix Ofosu-Kwakye<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"6726f6da-ea4f-4d0a-a866-0ef7dcba3808\">Government<\/span> says the description of the President and his Ministers as \u2018liars\u2019 is an unfortunate attack and a wrong prognosis.<\/p>\n<p>The former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Professor Stephen Adei accused the <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"47fa9ba2-9fff-46b3-a70d-e048403eb1db\">Mahama<\/span> government of constantly lying to Ghanaians about the true state of the nation.<\/p>\n<p>In response, a Deputy Information and Media Relations Minister, Felix Kwakye-Ofosu on <strong>Eyewitness News<\/strong> said the accusation is unfortunate as it is \u201cnot backed by any proof.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He clarified that the President has never lied or misled Ghanaians adding that it is regrettable that persons who admonish President Mahama to be candid with Ghanaians seem to expect doom and words of failure from government and public officials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"d3b612c6-1f02-4911-adc5-f7d428722326\">\u2026<\/span>It appears to be that what they want to hear the President and his government officials everyday is to lament problems and indicate that the country has failed and our economy is in tatters,\u201d said Mr. <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"b8ced45f-7faa-4af2-82bf-43a433453122\">Kwakye<\/span>-Ofosu.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Deputy Minister, Ghanaians voted for President Mahama to fix problems affecting the nation \u201cand that is what he has set about doing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The President in 2013 gave the assurance, load shedding will be a thing of the past but <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"29800275-c3fa-497d-9b1d-df851b9232ee\">presently<\/span>, the country is undergoing a load shedding exercise due to the lack of inflow of gas from Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>But Mr. <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"30ff329e-f35c-4c81-92ed-c0ba34bfc65e\">Kwakye<\/span>-Ofosu explained that Ghanaians were not being lied to because the cause of the energy crisis in 2013 is different from what is being experienced now.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the President has been briefing Ghanaians on the cause of the load shedding exercise therefore it is not necessary to call President Mahama a liar.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Efua Idan Osam\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Government says the description of the President and his Ministers as \u2018liars\u2019 is an unfortunate attack and a wrong prognosis.
